ISO - SERIOUS Miniature Breeding Partner

#115524 Posted on 2017-07-25 19:10:41

I've been slowly buying some good stock from the store, who are AWESOME, in both colors, and others in conformation. :)

Discipline; DRIVING

Basically, I'm looking for someone, a SERIOUS Miniature breeder, whether new (at least a year under their belt = 1 full generation of horses in their account), or a long-term breeder to work with. We will work together, buy stock from the EC, or from the RC, depending upon the circumstances, and try to produce a quality line that everyone will want to breed too. I.E. No lines from any other breeder, store horses only, until we reach at least 3 generations. Limited breeding's are a must! No more than 4 breeding's per horse (at the most) when we have at least 3 generations under our belt, until then, 1 breeding per pair.

I do have some nice horses to help start us out with; though I prefer to work with horses with 60+ conformation, I do make exceptions if they have a desirable color and or markings that I like!

One of my favorites: Dunagne Patel - ff!!!!!

My personal goals;
1. High stats - 1200+ stats per horse by the 3rd generation
2. Color - Breed a rare colored horse
3. Conformation - 80+ conformation for each and every horse in our herd

I hope someone can join me in this endeavor! :D

Hey Gold I have some Minis.

Ummmm... I just came back from a long vacation, so most of my minis might not look to well. I would love to help. Come and take a look

Tiny little problem; I want to go with DRIVING, as that's the most popular discipline with this breed, and would make the lines more desirable. :3

No problem. I will make a line only with driving. Making a note for that in my journal. So can we be partners? No is fine too.

Tell you what; pick out two Mini's, Mare and Stallion, and tell me WHY you'd pair those two together.

I've got almost 9 years under my belt when it comes to breeding; though I've only been breeding for conformation for the past 2 years and colors the past year, though I learn quickly! I kinda cheated with a few nice lined babes with stats and confo; but I have no intention of doing that anymore! Stores all the way.

I would be interested as I had some minis a couple months ago. Sadly, I had to sell them as I could not get on often enough. Mine were all driving and I was breeding for stats and color, and only first generation. I hope this is helpful!! :D

i do have some minis locked up that i should probably do something with. hmmm.
let me look at them again and get back to you.

how big of a project are you thinking?

so i have 9 stallions and 8 mares, all foundations. They're varying ages between 0 and 10.  Colorwise I do have a lot of whites and some greys, but there's also a lot of appaloosa patterns, roans, splashes, and a few creams and silvers. All have 60+ confo with the exception of this guy who i think is worth keeping for his homozygous flaxen :P

i'd love something to do with them; let me know what you think :)

I want to do a BIG breeding project; at least 20 pairs. :3 I have two pairs ready to be bred in 11 days and they're doing good. :D

@Kahzie - I'd definitely keep that guy! Dugnagne only has 56.13 conformation and it's only because of his flaxen is why I'm keeping him. :3

Edit - Counted up my stallions and mares.......... whoops..... Got 20 mares and 14 stallions. :P Whoever I pick we may need 6 more stallions.

Of course, they are at least two more mares I may send to the RC, if my partner agrees!

Oh, and one more thing, I accidentally put 10 of my Miniatures into Dressage, so they're on Hay Cubes, and I will eventually convert them to Driving. They can ALL be shown. :3
