So I thought I wanted to go into Lippizzaners and Chincoteagues. And I found none in the RC and very few that I wanted to buy for sale.

I'd suggest trying to do a mixture of both or buying horses that aren't necessarily ideal but could breed good horses. But if it's not a popular breed you might always have a hard time finding horses to buy.

I breed Lipizzaners and let me tell you I have had the worst luck trying to get non gray out of the EC. I lost patience and money trying to get non gray and just used coat randomizers on my 3 groups. I managed to get lucky and bought a herd from someone and the other 2 groups I picked up from the RC. I figured that conformation was something I can improve over few generations so I just stuck with what I got.

Personally, I like the idea of starting from Foundations and building up, but that's just me. I don't mind putting in the effort and spending credits here and there to get some coats I want or to remove a gray gene.

Nothing more satisfying and rewarding than watching foundies that you've started from scratch gain stats and progress knowing you did all the back end work.
