Ash felt her move and sat up. "Oh you can stand haha that's great!" He walked up to her and said"feeling better well I mean it can't hurt to bad now that your standing but you know haha"he said not knowing what to say to her. He was hungry but didn't want to eat until he knew she was fine. He hasn't ate or moved in a few days.

Tempest nodded to him smiling. " thanks for taking care of me" She said moving a step closed to him and giving him a big grin. She felt like hugging him but restrained herself from the thought. Her stomach grumbled and jostled itself around, clearly trying to tell tempest that she was hungry.

"It's no problem" he said everything inside him wanted to hug her and he did. "Sorry I know that was most likely too soon wasn't it" he asked ashamed of himself. He turned and ate some grass. Thinking of how he hugged her he heard something and looked to his left and saw a band of bachalor stallions coming towards him. Ash snorted throwing his Arabain shaped head back in protest he charged at them fury in his eyes. Kicking up dust behind him he didn't have to touch them they ran immedatily which was smart!

Tempest was shocked as to what happened next. He had actually hugged her. Tempest shook her head" no no, its fine. I think a hug was just what I needed" She said grinning as she tugged the grass from its roots and forcing it to her mouth. Tempest stomped her feet and pinned her ears at the wandering stallions around the herd as if warning them to back off. Although, Ash had done that job already by now as she watched the stallions scatter off.

"Oh good glad I could supply it haha"he chuckled nervously. He began eating and checking on the rest of the herd. He smiled at her and said "so how are you feeling?" 

Tempest smiled. As she began to eat as well. "I'm feeling better" she said. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to say to him, her young was tied whenever she saw him. 

He smiled and said "glad to hear so hat do we do now shall we move so early, we've been here for generations!" He gave her a worried look and said"sorry I'm the leader I shouldn't have had to put that stress on you!"

Tempest shook her head. " don't be sorry, you were only thinking of what was best for the herd. A great leader thinks for his herd and not just for one horse of himself. You are a great leader" she said grinning as she looked to him.

"Thanks and I need a lead mare and... I was thinking... well I mean if your up for it"he said nervously. He heard something and looked around it was just another mare running around. He smiled and turned back to Tempest. He then took a mouthful of grass and ran over to the foal which was a healthy little black colt who's coat shined like the night sky. 

Tempest was shocked at what she had just heard. He, Ash, wanted her to be lead mare. " Of course, I would be honored! I mean, ehhhem, I would be honored to" She spat out grinning. IT was spring which had meant that the mares were soon to be foaling. Though Tempest had never carried a foal she loved the idea of a little mini me following her around.

"Hahaha I would be honored to have you leading my herd" he said smiling. He felt something towards her but was scared to admit it! He looked at her and smiled and said"so what do you want to do stay here or move?" 

Tempest took a minute to think. " Although I'm sure we would all like to stay here. Something is out there, and I think its only getting closer. I don't think that's its safe for our young colts and fillies to be surrounded by the terrors close to us. Although the trip could be dangerous, so to be honest, I have no idea what we should do." she said looking at all the mothers a foals. " our main priority is them" she said looking to Ash.

He said"I agree with you but I feel like we should leave but not go far and leave on a rainy day so the rain washes away our sent and hoof prints." He looked at the foals and watched them play with their mothers and said"haha don't you wish you could be that young again with no care in the world beside who your going to play with?"

Tempest nodded and agreeing to his plan. She looked to the foals. " you don't know the half of it" She said laughing at a little foal that had fallen on its knees and rolled to the ground before betting back up and running and bucking. She wished she was a foal again, she wished she could have spent a little more time with her mother before she had passed away.

"Yeah..."he said. He watched the foals play and run around. "I have a question do you want to have a foal?" He began eating again and watched over the herd.
