Best strategy for winning in Na1?

#110913 Posted on 2017-06-23 10:21:56

Is it even worth it to show in Na1? It seems that I am just losing money trying to show in Na1 dressage. I know that is mostly luck based and the normal tricks, using ungraded tack, showing with 5 or less entries ect...

Should I just use riding schools until they are within 10 points of changing levels?
It was great when they were R5 and lower but the second they hit Na1 they hit a wall. Normally I wouldn't care to much but when you have 11 Na1 and 1 Na2, it really cuts into my showing profit XD

Are your Na1 foundations or lined? I know my foundations and 2nd gen hit a wall once they got to Na1 Dressage, in part I think, because there are a larger number of close-to-0 non-specialty stat horses starting around then. Personally I've been entering the $100 shows because they tend to not get above 5 entries (I actually count on this, lol). I've also been doing 5 shows/5 riding school hours (do riding school first then I auto show lowest entries or highest price) with pretty good success.

They are lined, but some do have more non-specialty points than I would like. It is likely that. This group was the first group of foals I bred and locked for a while, in the beginning I wasn't really planning on showing much xp

I often have to make my own Na1 shows so I may try to price them at $100, see if that helps any.

Thanks!
