Level Up

As I train my horses today, it tell that two of them level up. I have this happen before, then view my horses to level it as I do previous. But when I go to see, Vice Versa do not have the arrow to show he is ready. I view his page, and his train progress is like if I have level him, but I do not do it yet. SO, he miss his points boost. 

Tempest is the other who level today, she waits to be level like I am use to. Only Vice Versa seem to skip the actual level, but he do gain the level. But I do not level him.

What "level" they train at is different than when they get the points that give them a stat boost. The stat boosts come every 10 training sessions and are the ones that come with the arrow. The level is a slightly different measurement, for which the maximum is 5. I'm not sure how many times each horse has to train before it levels up in training. (If that explanation makes sense.)
