Trade and Train

I have an idea about having a specific market for horse training stats. I think that it would be nice to have a market for players who have horses that need more stats, but the players don't have the time for these horses. There could be some sort of service, where the player posts on a forum/market and specifies which stats they would like their horses to gain over a period spanning from a day upwards to a week. Another player could take these horses, level them up, and the owner would pay a price per stat gained. Does that make sense in this game?

That would be very helpful due to me not having a lot of time to show/train my horses and with me locking up for a bit I could still have my horses gaining stats and stuff.

That sounds useful. Essentially it's horse leasing.

so something like leasing/sending a horse away for training?

I could see this happening in a similar way to boarding - say you pay for 7 days and the person trains your horse. 

That said, I can see it backfiring on people who lock their accounts for 7 days or stop logging in or don't do what you want.

Maybe an additional arena/division could be created for the purpose of lease horses, and only high level deluxe members can train lease horses

I don't think this would work as a deluxe feature. I'd expect it would be the newer players who would be mostly interested in horse leasing, as it would offer an extra way of gaining money and experience without the need to spend tons of money upfront purchasing horses.

With the manual cron feature I don't think there will be serious consequences if someone leases a horse, then fails to log in for the lease period. The horse will simply be locked for that period, and you'll only lose your lease fee. If it is billed per stat gained then this would likely be very little money lost. The main issue would instead be if someone simply refuses to care for the horse despite being online every day. Perhaps there could be protections in place such as the horse automatically being returned to the owner if the happiness gets below a certain level, or a button the owner can press to return the horse early for any reason they liked, and they'd instead just pay for the leasing received so far.
