I have a question too, I have a club on my main (lol) account over @maine, called The Pizza Club. I'm also running for Akhal Teke club president, however my understanding is that if I get president and stay president of the Teke Club, I'll then become owner/admin of them both. with the club mergery-thing, will The Pizza Club remain The Pizza Club or would I be able to change it into a different name/type of club post-merger, or will I be limited? And as well, what will happen with the current 'official' clubs like the Akhal Teke club that have hundreds of horses and members - will those who take them over have to pay for the registry and the cost of member slots as they already have a LOT of members

^ My understanding is that if you're currently running for president you will just end up having a normal presidential term for July. If, however, you campaign in July, you are campaigning to own the club from August onwards.

UlyssesBlue is correct, normal president term for July, but if you campaign in July for August then you are campaigning to own the club.

If you end up owning a club, and you want to leave EQ for a year but don't want the club to die can you have an option to "Sell" or give the club over to someone else as the new owner/ president so it won't die?

^ I know you'll be able to appoint multiple admins, who can do almost everything the owner can do. That would certainly achieve your desired outcome of not letting the club die. I'm not sure if you can transfer ownership entirely.

The option of club ownership transferring is the absolute must! I had very unfortunate experience in one game, where I was stuck in a group (similar to EV clubs) and the owner disappeared from the game. I would gladly become an owner but was forced to sit at group admin position and watching how group had been slowly dying. It was very frustrating because that group had a lot of potential.

Abbey, I have another question about horse registration in clubs. Will be a cross-registering possible for breed clubs? I was having discussion with Red, White and Blue Kat (who is the president of Quarter Horse Club) about how Paints and QH are registered in real life, but whether our possible plans would work depends on how breed clubs horse registration will be working after club revamping.

^ I'm not sure I understand your question, but my understanding is that you can register your horse in as many clubs as you like. Whether they will be accepted depends on the club's registration requirements. If the owner of the Quarter Horse Club decided they would accept both paints and QHs, then you could plausibly register a paint horse with both the paint club and the QH club. Is that what you meant?

Right now it is possible. But will it be possible after clubs revamping or registration in breed clubs will be automatically restricted to specific breeds?

Ah, I understand now. According to Abbey's club document that she links to in the first post the automation is optional, so I would imagine you could either define only certain breeds as being accepted, or require it to be manually accepted or rejected, in which case could could accept or reject whatever breeds you like.

The document says nothing about breed amongst those settings that an owner defines, hence my question. :)

@UlyssesBlue, I second your idea of being able to remove horses that were/are registered with a club/group. Reason being I know several clubs have color requirements and with my proposed plan to allow certain Paint horses to registrar as QH's as well would greatly depend on their color. Now if I allowed a Paint into the QH club and it's owner changed it's color then I should be allowed to remove said horse since it no longer meets color requirements
