Hello friends! My name is Carly, though you can all call me Vos. I am an Equiverse moderator, so if you have any questions you can feel free to message me. I don't bite. For any problems that are occurring with the function of the game or other players breaking the rules, please utilize the mod box instead (if I am messaged privately, I'll just tell you to make a mod box report, so please just save both of us some time).

I am one of our resident color genetics enthusiasts. I may not have a career in that specific field, but I have friends who are geneticists along with having done (and continuing to do) my own independent reading of current publicized studies. In that regard, I could be considered an 'unofficial' expert on equine color genetics. Remember that the game is not 100% accurate to real life, so there will be some inconsistencies between our pixel ponies and those in the real world.

I am a major advocate of correctly training and riding horses. I do not agree with methods of training or riding which cause harm, either physical or mental, to a horse. As such, I follow the classical principles of riding, which the old masters used. A good current source for information and video tutorials is the YouTube channel Art2Ride by Will Faerber, who studied under Nuno Oliveira. I encourage others who want what's best for their horse to avoid trying to emulate 'top' riders such as Anky van Grunsven, Edward Gal, Andreas Helgestrand, and Charlotte Dujardin. Their riding is incorrect and the horses suffer for it.
