Do you think it's worth it to upgrade tack?

I have tons and tons of tack (an average of 10 saddles/bridles in each disapline) and I have been thinking about upgrading some of it. Do you think it's worth the cost of upgrading? Why or why not?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I remember reading that tack levels effect how your horse does in shows. For example - Horse A & Horse B have the exact same stats & training but Horse A has higher level tack so that horse would do better than Horse B.

My horses with 5/5 level tack do better than the ones that don't. You will also notice this if you go through competition results.

100% absolutely. Fully upgraded tack is a game-changer.

Even partially upgraded tack improves the horse chances of winning.

Very much worth the cost! I had a foundation I accidentally equipped basic tack to, and she didn't even make L5 by the time she retired. Most of my horses are on 5/5 tack and they get to R5 and occasionally even Na1 before retiring. I start horses at 3 years old, show ever day until they retire, and only then do riding school, so the only stat gain they get is from winning shows (And the occasional one from leisure riding now if I remember to do it) so it has a significant impact.

If you're using the tack on your horses and showing them, Upgrade it! Each upgrade to your tack improves it's stat boost given to your horse which can greatly improve your show standings.
But if the tack is just sitting around or you're only using riding schools save your money for something else. Tack does not affect riding schools. Though you can always sell upgraded tack for a bit more, it's can not be worth the price to upgrade it depending on the market at the time.

Reading some interesting things here...

So Timbergray, you also enter them in competitions when they just moved up a level? Since you also hear people about putting them in riding school until they are in the upper part of the level.

And I have upgraded some tack, but it's about 2 show jumping sets and 2 dressage sets, since I barely enter in competitions anyways, so I can just switch them around.

Do have some 5/5 tack lying around in other disciplines, very curious what the price for upgradet tack is, since it's just lying around anyways.
