The Breeder List

#88774 Posted on 2017-01-23 13:49:29

Click here to view the list.

I know that we already have a basic breeder directory pinned on this board, but I decided to make one that is a little more extensive and detailed. If you click the link above, you can find an introduction and the form on the first page, as well as a table of contents for all the breeds. Each breed name will link to the section of the document where you can view the entries for members who specialize in that breed.

The idea of this list is to showcase your ideas about breeding, and your focuses within the breed. Hopefully this will allow members to find like-minded breeds as well as simply be aware of who else focuses on the same breed.

This post started as an interest check, but since at least a couple people seemed into the idea, I decided to just roll with it and officially open this list up for entries. Each member can have one entry for each breed that they focus on, so that you can change details if needed between each entry. I decided not to make this open for edits to everyone right now, so that I can keep the formatting in check and prevent accidental mess-ups. So if you'd like to be added, either post here or PM me with your entries (the form is on the first page of the link above).

In addition, there are a couple of things I'm looking for/need help with:

• If you have suggestions on what can be added to the form, please let me know!

• I'd like to have 1-3 people who can help me keep this updated. If you don't mind receiving PMs from members wanting to add/change entries, and if you're fine with basic formatting skills to help keep the list looking nice, let me know.

^ Bob's goal for buck-teeth horses is one we can all get behind. xD

I've decided to officially do this, so if people want to post here or PM to be added, that'd just be dandy.

I'm also still open to suggestions on what can be added to the form if anyone can think of anything good/useful. (:

Specialty: Thoroughbreds
Areas of Focus: color
Are These Lines Public? I do not currently offer sales/studs, but I will buy lined horses from others to use.
Breeding Guidelines: Don't breed a horse until around 15+, unless the situation is different. I mostly only breed once, but exceptions might occur.
Breeding Goals: Rare colors and patterns, as well as eventually high stats in the future. My dream TB is a smoky cream frame overo rabicano (RbRb).

Specialty: Chincoteagues
Areas of Focus: color

Breeding Guidelines: Don't breed a horse until around 15+, unless the situation is different. I mostly only breed once, but exceptions might occur.
Breeding Goals: Rare colors and patterns, as well as eventually high stats in the future. My dream Chinco is currently undecided, but I really like rabicano (RbRb). I also really like sooty and wild bay together, so there's a goal of mine.

Specialty: Shetlands

Breeding Goals: Rare colors and patterns, as well as eventually high stats in the future. My dream Shetland is currently undecided, but will probably include either sooty, dunalino, rabicano (RbRb), or multiple of those.

Thanks for clarifying, Raptorfang. I realized I made that confusing on the original form so I reworked it. xD

Added you both!

It's there. That form is kind of split in half, with the second have at the top of the second column on the page right now. xD
