This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, UlyssesBlue (spare), for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!
Silver only affects black pigment, so it doesn't affect chestnut based horses, or the red based part of bay based horses, however the existing art puts the silver modification over the entire base coat regardless of whether the horse is black or bay based. My suggestion is to modify the existing silver art so we have a black-type silver and a bay-type silver. The black-type would just be the current silver art, the bay-type would have most of the body silver removed so that it just affects the mane, tail, and lower legs.

I used to work on a miniature horse breeding farm and silver genes are very predominant in this breed, and it's driven me absolutely batty that the art in the game doesn't present as the gene is actually supposed to!

Yeah the artist wasn't so... accurate with the silver coloring. Drives me nuts XD

Yeah, silver only affects black hair, not red/brown. It turns black into a chocolatey color, whether it's a fully black coat, or the mane, tail, and points of a bay. Silver black horses can have significant dappling, but the brown part of a bay will be unaffected.

Yeah, agreed. The new art is all utterly gorgeous, but there are more than a few colours/patterns that I feel are quite inaccurate or atypical. Silver also fits in this category. Most of the silver combinations should really be individual artworks like the cream variants, rather than a modification layer, as it changes the colour itself, not just adds in white colouring. A complete revamp would be ideal, but failing that this black/bay differentiation would be a much simpler alternative.

It's not the artist being inaccurate, it's me (and also the way it's coded).

Could this please be taken under consideration once again? Now that the foal art shows silver correctly the ZZ and Zz is adults is even more ridiculous.Â
