*'Liked" Horses or Player Notification System

I was thinking about this on my drive home from work...after missing out on some nice horses that went up for sale.

What do you guys think about a 'like'/notification system for horses? I see a horse I am drooling over, I hit the like button on the horses page. Now if that horse were to go up for sale, I would get a notification about it. And if I get out-bid, I get another notification...

Same goes for players maybe to whom I'd like to buy horses from. You 'like' their page, and maybe get notified when they put horses up for stud/sale?

The owner of the horses/account wouldn't have to know about it either. I would rather it be anonymous.

Just a thought to cut back on the baggillion bookmarks in my side bar.

So essentially you could 'follow' activity regarding that horse, like sales, studs, etc? I dunno how easy it would be to implement, but I like the idea.

Nice idea. Could be called something such as 'Player Subscriptions' and 'Horse Subscriptions'. It could be by 'Send a message' for players bur I'm not sure where for horses....?!

Or just a link that says "Subscriptions" that takes you to a page of players and horses that you 'follow.'

it could be a deluxe perk like in the forums with the same yellow star and just to make it easier all three- players, horses and forums all on one page you can manage.

why i say deluxe perk is because it already is a deluxe thing for the forums and also it wouldn't make bookmarks useless if you just subscribe to everything (:

I'd also like to throw out there that maybe you would be able to 'manage' your likes to members/horses, pretty much like we have the ability to delete bookmarks.

I only saw this because It's been bumped today. What a pity that such a good idea hasn't been implemented yet despite being "starred".
I would help bringing more dosh for horses because so often happens that I loose on horse purchase because I'm simply not aware that I have been overbid. Bidding would be going much higher if players were notified.

The same goes, actually, for market bids !
