[ADDED] *Horses having more than 1 foal?

Great for you guys, but I think that's an exception rather than the norm. I've had horses listed for weeks before they finally sold. Studs rarely get used, etc.

There's also the issue of potential issues with the inbreeding block.

I think it'd be fun to have the chance to get twins. Maybe it could be an optional thing like 'I want/don't want my horses to be able to have twins'. Keeping the game real, yah know. I don't support triplets or the potions returning.

I like this idea, though twin foals are rare. It would be cool to suddenly have twins born instead of just one. Though I do not like the potion idea, I think it should be random as it is more excitable and would make twins more rare.

I like this idea, but triplets are too much for me.

To defend breeders in RL who end up with twins: sometimes a vet can miss the second follicle that has been caught in breeding, therefore at that time of the ultrasound when it would be imperative to catch twins and pinch one, if missed (possible and has happened), then the twin goes on to develop. At this point when the twins have reached a certain stage (X amount of weeks) there's no longer a safe time to pinch, it's only abort the pregnancy or determine if the mare is capable of carrying both. Most mares will abort one on their own sometimes not, it's a toss up with nature.

Lately with the advances in veterinary science and breeding facilities there have been more successful foalings of twins than most think. It hasn't become that uncommon anymore. But to blame the breeder alone for being irresponsible is wrong, sometimes a machine (ultrasound) cannot get both ovaries and follicles in view. This is where things can get missed and have.

On a game, it would be a small percentage of mares capable of foaling twins (or even random) so it's not by the mare. I do agree with others the potions can stay away and not come back. But a 1-2% chance of twins or even 0.5% chance of twins daily per account would be something different.

I support the twins but not so much the triplets.

I know I don't really play with the horses here in this version but I think it would be cool for when I want to start with horses.

Maybe for people who don't want twins like Aglet said- There could be 2 buttons in the breeding boxes. One could say try for twins and the other just a normal breeding. Maybe that could help with those kind of problems.

Also for all of the real life complications maybe in the game sometimes one of the twins don't make it.

I support twins. I think the possiblity (even if it's very small) of getting twins would make the game much more exciting.

Just because it happens in real life, I would support it, but I feel it should NOT be a potion, and it should be both rare and a complete surprise, just like it would be in real life. This is a computer game, after all, so it's not like we can expect it to be 100% true to real life, but I do feel it should be as close as possible, which means we should have a few rare and unexpected things which could happen at some point or another.

I support twins but not triplets. I also do not support the potions. They make it too easy to have a million foals. I think somebody also suggested that you could choose if they were able to have twins or not? Not sure who that was, but I like that suggestion.

Could you post links/references to the "common" twins you're speaking of? I belong to several breeding learning groups and we all pinch twins between 14-16 days. I've always been told that twins aren't uncommon, but survival is.

I've personally seen three premature births/abortions of twins this year... :(

I would like the occasional chance for twins to return again. Some people did abuse this but on the other hand I remember using it maybe twice on a mare I or two I found in the RC who had never had foals. I used the twin potion on them with a great stallion and produced very good foals that were very quickly bought. 

What if there were a hidden value that determines each individual mare's chance of carrying twins? It would be partly random, partly genetic, much like conformation, only you couldn't see what the stat was. It'd be possible to breed for it, but difficult. Mares currently existing on the game would be assigned a random number, although it would be weighted toward the lower end of the scale to keep things rare. I think 10% is the highest chance I'd be comfortable with, and that high of a chance would be extremely rare.
