This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, The Endurance Mini Lovers, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

I was thinking it would be great for (like on the old EV) if we could have player breed specialities but (if the player likes) they could have the speciality of the breed eg Western Morgans.

If the player was deluxe they could have up to 3 or 4 specialities. It would also be good if there was a slight bonus from breeding/training/showing but no penalty for not doing that.

If you don't support please tell me why!

I support this, though I think I would like it if there was a bit of a boost for having one and training within it (preferably no "punishment" for having a specialty and training outside of it). Ex. I train only western Quarter Horses, so I choose that as my specialty and now I have a slightly higher chance of earning more money from shows/player level raises quicker/stats go up faster, whatever.

That way players can have a small incentive to focus on a breed and specialty, but for the players who also have project ponies they aren't negatively impacted.

Hmmm, I wouldn't use it, so I kinda don't know what to vote. I have some horses specialized differently than my mainstream..

You wouldn't have to have a particular speciality eg. Your speciality could be Western Arabians but you could (if you were deluxe) also have Racing Arabians as well as Western Arabians.

I agree with losteh

Have it set up as to where your main specialty is your "focal" point (main breed, main specialty trained) with a slight bonus/incentive

But also no penalty for choosing to have multiple disciplines breeds etc.

I've always focused on western Morgan's but I've dabbled in paints/Trakes etc also even previously (pre recode) or taken in rescues to train and sell/rehome

But my main focus has always fallen back to western Morgan's...

I fully support this as long as there's no penalty

I like the idea of specialties, and the idea of there being more specialities for deluxe members.

That said, I also think there should be no penalty for training outside of it. You can specialize in say...english disciplines in the real world, but you really don't take any hits at all for having horses for various jobs, such as trails and those just for shows, etc.

I agree Buck, it wouldn't be fair to say it was bad for someone to try something new. That would be completely unfair!

It would make more sense just to choose a breed of horse (Just "arabian", "Quarter horse", "Shetland Pony" etc. No "Western Shetland Pony", "racing Arabian", "driving quarter horse" etc.). Then you could get double the amount of points you won for that breed of horse if you own them when they are entered in shows.

Just a thought, but I support minus the "western paint", "racing arabian" stuff.

I'm not a huge fan of this idea. Here is why...

I have 64 Western QHs (in my new line), 64 Endurance Clydesdales, and 30 Driving Dutchies.

Which means that two of my three nearly equal in size herds would be at a disadvantage no matter which specialty I choose [unless deluxe members can have 3+ specialties]. I'm against a stat gain for this idea; if it is only money or experience gained then I am willing to support the idea.

I agree Aglet, I'm not overly keen on having a plus side. I'd rather it would be just to show other breeders what you focus on!

I do agree with this idea, having the specialty and the breed. But for people like insomniaglet who have large herds of several breeds, I think the idea that -❆-Buck suggested can work. As having this specialty idea can give bonus to the players and have no negative impact on those that go outside the specialty and for people who have several horses and disciplines, having the deluxe being able to have more specialties would not only help those like insomniaglet, but also add another feature to the Deluxe, and may even bring more players to buy the deluxe.

So I support this all the way, if these suggestions were also added as I think they are a good idea too. Though I think you should also limit the deluxe to having like only three specialties so they don't go wild and bonuses going everywhere and making it unfair, or we can even have that deluxe members have to pay to have more specialties with EVC. So this is a win/win situation on even bringing money to the game and making the players happy.

I hope this made sense. XD

It definitely makes sense!
In my opinion your couple of paragraphs sum up everyone's ideas!

What I'd like to see is specialities which include both breed and breeding goal, e.g. Gypsy Vanner - Dressage, Gypsy Vanner - Colour, Mustang - Conformation, etc. These would have no bonuses or similar player benefits attached to them, they'd just be a convenient means to make it clear what your breeding goals were to other players, and find other like-minded breeders. The nature of this would mean people should be able to select as many specialities as apply to them. I don't see any downside to this being unlimited, or at least set to something large.

I'd then like to see this be searchable, or integrated into the game as lists of all players who have a particular breeding goal, i.e. an automated breeders directory. So if you choose a particular speciality, say, Gypsy Vanner - Colour, then you'll automatically be added to a list somewhere of every player who's labelled themselves with that speciality. These lists could be included on the club pages, or at least linked from there.

I don't know.... I like this idea, but I like being able to breed as many breeds as we like. And I wouldn't use it anyway...
