Hello and welcome to the 2019 Holiday Happenings brought to you by the Shetland Pony Club and Show Creation Coalition! We're excited to bring you some fun holiday contests, giveaways and events and show off some other member and clubs fun events! Please message Sabriel to get your event included.


Activities and Community Events
Community Wishlist - A community event hosted by Sabriel. Members can post wishlists of small wishes and some dream wishes and get some gifts. One lucky member a week until Christmas will be selected for a larger gift but all members can receive small gifts from Sab. - closes tonight!

MHC Christmas Giveaway - The Miniature Horse Club is hosting a Sitewide Giveaway. Entry is free and a winner will be drawn every day!

Cream Horse Society Snowball Raffle/Contest - The Cream Horse Society is hosting a raffle and snowball contest for the holidays closing on the 30th for members of the club. It's an excellent club for cream collectors!

Contest Calamity -All Closed!
Holiday Art Contest - Design a character, Show a holiday scene, or just draw your favorite character in winter! Most creative, best effort, best story and judges choice will be awarded with prizes. Every entrant will receive one ticket for the Holiday Happenings Raffle.

Coloring Contest - Use one of SPCs Coloring pages to create a holiday scene or color your favorite horse! Prizes awarded for most creative, best effort, coolest theme and judges choice. Every entrant will receive one ticket for the Holiday Happenings Raffle.

Holiday Horse Contest - Show off your Favorite Holiday Horse on EV. Whether it's a cool name, some great outfit or an awesome color combination. Prizes for Best Dressed, Coolest Color, Most Thematic Name and Judges Choice. Every entrant will receive one ticket for the Holiday Happenings Raffle.


Art Shenannigans
2019 Shetland Holiday Tags - The 2019 Shetland Holiday tags will partially fund a SPC exclusive raffle. There's many addons to hose from to make your perfect holiday horse! Now open for second orders!

Free Holly Tags - Once more Holly tags are being offered for free. The base can also be bought for 10k to do unlimited recolors for yourself, or others, as long as no profit is made!

Christmas Bases - If you are interested in recoloring for the general public I have a list of Christmas bases which were offered last year that people can contact me about recoloring at reduced Holiday prices.

SCC Upgrade Raffle - A raffle for basic members with multiple winners, Including a bonus raffle for those with current upgrades

SPC Tag Pot Raffle - Half the proceeds from the Shetland Holiday Tags will be raffled off to Shetland club members. You must be a member of the SPC to enter.

Though the events have past we want to give thanks to the wonderful event runners hosting great holiday things this year.

🎄River's 2019 Advent Calendar 🎄 - River's awesome Annual event with 4 free raffle slots and two bid slots for ucky winners to get dialy gifts the 1st through the 25th.

Giddy Up, Jingle Horse Raffle - Hosted by Wey, this Raffle is only open until November 30th and requires ticket purchase for a chance at a large EVD and EVC prize!

EDF 2nd Annual Holiday Raffle - A fun free Holiday Raffle open to Equiverse Dressage Federation Members that includes many cool prizes and two pairs of awesome Dressage horses. Open until the 20th of December.

MHC - Christmas in the Pature - An auction by Dragonfly to make some money for the Miniature horse club, head over and cast your bid!

Earn one ticket just by posting your favorite Holiday thing! Or multiple things! Tell us about your favorite movie, holiday tradition, holiday song, or just your favorite thing about the holidays!
In addition to the one free ticket here on this thread you can gain additional tickets by entering one of the three contests hosted by the SPC&SCC that are linked above.

I'll be the first I guess.

My favorite thing about Christmas and this time of year is the snow, family, and CHRISTmas. 
Since my hubby and I live near both parents, we get to have early Christmas with one side and then celebrate again with the other side. My family is getting bigger with my sisters being married and all so we do a secret Santa each year and get our one person something good around $50. It can't be our spouse though when we draw a name. 

My favorite thing about the holidays nowadays is getting to go on vacation to a different region, but when I was younger it was definitely watching all the stop motion Christmas classics on Christmas Eve (my birthday)! My favorite was always Rudolph And Frosty's Christmas In July, because it included not only Rudolph but Frosty too and little me thought that was just awesome lol.

My favorite thing about the holidays is getting to see our family! Since my family lives a long ways away, i only get to see them twice a year, and whenever i do, it is always really special. We always go to see a movie, go ice skating, and then usually just sit at home and talk with hot cocoa. It is always special to catch up with the family.

My favorite Holiday tradition, Christmas Eve when the kids get home from their dads we would all open our "Christmas
 pajama gift, have hot chocolate, popcorn, and watch The Polar Express. 

We have done this every year since my youngest son(now 7) was born. However, this year will be particularly difficult as it will be the first year my kids do not come home Christmas Eve and wake up at home in Christmas morning(due to a recent custody order). I'm trying to figure out ways to continue on with this tradition...maybe do it the evening of the 23rd or the evening of the 25th. Either way, it was always something so special to me, and it will be difficult not having it the same as before. 

Either way, I am looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my little family and hopefully my mom and sisters will be able to join us at some point during the day! 

Well I actually have never been allowed to celebrate any holidays but I love the snow, fires and cocoa that come with the season. This year in was able to give gifts and I love wrapping and seeing people's genuine reaction to thoughtful gifts. It's the very best thing!

Wanted to share a little doodle I made of my new character from the coloring contest. :)

My favorite thing about Christmas is seeing my family and being able to see the faces of people when they open there presents. I also really like decorating for Christmas XD

My favorite thing about Christmas is probably making reindeer cookies. They're so cute (and tasty!) I also like watching "Elf" as a family. These are two things we do every year and it helps make the season special :)
