Who Here Has a Real Horse?

I'd love to see pics of your actual horses in real life! Feel free to include names, breeds, genders, disciplines, and even a short bio!

This is my 8 year old TWH gelding, Mr. Buck, showcasing his bubble. He's a special kind of special. XD

Omg, that bubble is so cute!!

I personally don't have my own horse, but I work at a ranch, so I kinda have 50 horses :D

Mostly quarter horses and paints!

I have a 28-year-old TWH gelding named Rocky and an insertunknownagehere mini donkey stallion named Jack. Rocky used to do a small assortment of western things under saddle but has been retired for a few years.

Haha! Thank you! He was quite proud of that bubble. XD

I haven't had too much experience with paints or quarters, to be honest. Kind of weird seeing as they are some of the most popular breeds in my country- have only helped train a handful of QHs. I used to work at an Appaloosa breeding farm as a volunteer though, and they did have a few QH's in the lesson program. My main experience though as been with TWHs, Arabians (used to work at an arab breeding farm), and warmbloods.

@Raptor: I also have donkeys! Two standards. I'll see if I can't scrounge up a few pics of them. Buck does mostly gaited western pleasure, but we've also taken to trail obstacle classes (also done in western tack). I don't know why more people don't use gaited horses in western disciplines- they are awesome at it!

Cool! Rocky used to be a trail horse/lesson horse/barrel horse.

Here we are practicing at home over a small bridge I made for an upcoming trail obstacle show. He was just in his halter here though- weren't in our typical training tack as I honestly wasn't planning on riding that day. XD Lots of progress though, seeing as he used to have a mini heart attack if he even looked at the bridge.

I've never done barrels. Buck is far too uncoordinated for that. lol I admire anyone who does though!

Well that's the important thing. Having fun trumps ribbons any day.

I’m I have one horse! His name is NoteSkeetNStar but we just call him gunner. He is a 13 year old registered paint horse. His pattern is tabiano. I compete at a local rodeo. We run all the speed events. We typically don’t place often because it’s only our 4th year at it. Here’s some pictures!

That jumping picture is awesome!

I love love arabians! We might have one at the ranch, but can't be too sure. He loves like an Arab but don't have any proof of breed. We have a few appies!
