Describe Your Dream Horse

#6190 Posted on 2016-02-19 21:31:56

She's passed away quite a few years by now, but I've already owned my dream horse. Precise color unknown, but suspect she was either smokey black or black chestnut. She was a feisty little paso fino, 13 hh. Solidly colored save for a teeny tiny amount of white on her hind coronet. Partial on half the heel. Took me a good few months to even realize it was there. Her name was Nadine. Smartest horse I've ever come across in my life.

My dream horse was taken from me, he was a bay with one white sock on the right back leg and had little white cornet socks on all the other legs, he had a stripe that on the top of his head only covered one side, he had a crooked lip that was adorable. He was a Quarab from the range. He did not like anyone else ridding him at first until he was brought to me to train to stop bucking and spooking and I did just that then a short month or two later my old mustang died. Then a few days later after my horse died the people who owned the little Quarab brought him to me and gave him to me, I got my dream horse. I only owned him a short time until he got very sick, I thought he was going to die, but he survived. But he had lost so much weight he was bones. Having been on the range starving he was all ready skinny so having been so sick it was bad. But he started putting weight on slowly but surely but some time after this he was out in a little pasture with another horse that was older and had gone through depression and had lost weight. Someone drove by and saw them they stopped and talked and my family and I explained why they weir skinny. And the person seemed to understand and left but then the next day animal control came we weir not listened to, so we could not explain why the weir skinny. It was the worst day ever they took my dream horse. And broke my heart, I didn't even get to say goodbye. I will always love you, Rusty my little boy.

@ Zest: I totally have your dream horse! He is 24, so he can be lazy at times, but once you show him a jump there is no stopping him.

Hoping to cook up my dream horse next year, for a 2018 foal. Palladio Blu out of my TB jumper. Looking for brains, easy jumper, and of course, the guaranteed Tabiano doesn't hurt...

I like to joke that my boy Knight is one color allele from being my dream horse. XD
He's a smokey black Andalusian cross (1/4 Appaloosa in there) so he's Ee aa Crcr but my dream would be a buckskin Andalusian cross. lol Ee Aa Crcr. But he's a sweetheart and totally close enough. :)

I ALMOST got my dream horse again with another one of our horses. We bred him he's a palomino sabino Andalusian cross (1/4 Paint) so he's ALSO one allele off. My luck is terrible!!

8 foot tall lizard horse with split eyes, red horns protruding down his back, dragon wings with a giant wingspan, no hair, a black scaly coat with a tint of red in it and a mouth full of sharp carnivorous teeth. >D
I would ride him every day, burn down villages and feed him people.

I'mveryserious

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Drathieeee Your horsey sounds kind fo scary but super awesome, I'll ask you tojust keep it on your side of the screen though eh?

@Tree
Arabians are the BESTEST. So many people don't like them but I love my Boy Opie. I'm good friends with a trainer who does Arabs and Arab crosses and has some really awesome horses that are super fun to play with. The only problem with Arabs is that they're so small! I have really long legs so it can be harder to "fit" on a smaller horse.

When I was younger and for a LONG time after that until I got Opie actually, I wanted a Palomino Mare, you know like those golden colored beautiful Quarter Horses. Then it was a palomino Paint still mare. I ALMOST got a Palomino Paint Gelding right before Opie, but by the time I convinced my parents that we could get him some other girl at the stable had leased him instead :[

I don't have a true "Dream Horse" anymore, right now I just wish for something younger(all my boys are in their 20s), athletic and pretty chill with no health problems.

Have always always always wanted a Friesian cross, preferably a Red Roan Pinto. However, most of those crosses get way too tall for me to even want to consider riding one anymore... Lol

I have my dream horse :)

A medium size light silvery (not Z gene, I mean the silvery colored shine) fleabitten grey mare, about 160 cm high. Some kind of sport horse, crossbreed, probably TB x Hannoverian x Pure Spanish. Friendly with humans, brave, clever and always wanting to do things well. If I ask her doing something new she tries her best, and most of the times we can do it. Goes perfectly without a bit on her mouth, we ride bitless. She´s never afraid of exploring new places, I like horse trail so I consider that very important. She also likes to jump, and although we don´t do that very often we can jump over 1,25m fences, lying trees, and so on. She´s always ready to climb a mountain and get to the top to admire the landscape :)

And has a very special "marking"... 3 whorls on her forehead, which I loooooove!
