"He's fine Heidi. He's right here." Alysia said as her horse planted his feet and put if head to her. "Don't move Heidi, it'll hurt if you do." Alysia asked of Heidi.

Sarah walked over to the ring. The horse, which she figured was named Luke, seemed to have calmed down upon hearing his owner's voice and was standing patiently beside the fallen girl.

(Paramedic 1): He flashed a light into Heidi's eyes and watched her pupils closely. "She seems to have hit her head on something, we shouldn't take her helmet off because if she has a concussion, it will just expand more. This girl should be taken to the ER right away."

"How bad do you think it is? I think she hit her head on this standard right here." Alysia said pointing to the jump.

(Paramedic 1): "Well, clearly she is able to speak and recognize. I don't wanna speak too soon, but in my opinion the head injury could have been a lot worse, it won't be too hard to get over. On the other hand, the legs aren't such a pretty story. She'll lose a lot of muscle because she will have to be in a wheelchair for a while, and therapy in order to teach her to walk again will definitely be needed. That given they heal correctly in the first place."

"That's terrible." Alysia said. "Could everyone please clear out of the ring so the paramedics can get to work?" Alysia kindly asked the riders in the ring. Alysia turned to the paramedics, "Do you want us to move the jumps out of the way?"

Sarah got hold of Luke's snapped reins and offered him the treat again. "Sure, I hope he doesn't bolt off again. He seems calmer now though."

(Paramedic 2): That's fine, we'll just park outside the ring and carry her there. There's not much left to be done here, we should take her to the hospital right away"

Heidi's eyes flew open when she heard the news. She saw Luke being pulled off.
"Luke!!" She screamed.
She heard the news about her broken legs and began crying.
"Will I be able to ride again?" She asked hopefully?
"And wait, before I am on restrictions, can I say goodbye to my horse?" She asked with a quivering voice as she saw like wing walked off.
"Somebody, Ride him for exercise often"

"Ok." Alysia grabbed the standards and moved it away from Heidi. "Of course." Alysia said as she walked over to the girl holding Heidi's horse. She took him over to where Heidi was lying. "You will be able to ride again one day, but it maybe a while. I'll ride him for you everyday, he'll be fine here, I promise." Alysia told Heidi.

Sarah brought Luke over to Heidi so that she could say goodbye before she got into the ambulance.

(Paramedic 3): "If you heal correctly, you should be able to ride again, although it may be a little uncomfortable. Your legs won't be as flexible as they used to be because of the internal scarring, however, you CAN get your muscle mass back, but it will be a long process."

Alysia, even though never have experiencing this, New that it would be a long rode ahead before Heidi would ride again. She felt as if she wanted to have Luke an even better horse than he was right now. She knew it would take a long time for him to finally trust her, but when he did, it would be easy.

After finally putting Luke in his stall, Sarah went over to the trailer and took Blue out. "Sorry for the wait." She gave her horse a treat and a pat on the neck. She couldn't take the image of Heidi's twisted legs off her head, it sure had been a nasty fall. "Well, I better concentrate on finding a stall for this guy now" she thought, and led him over to where Alysia was standing.
"Bumpy start, but hi, I'm Sarah, and this is my stallion Hells Bells. We just call him Blue though." Her english accent coming through. "I informed I was coming through email and already payed for this month, you know where I could put him?"

Blue looked at Alysia and nudged her shoulder with his nose. He was sure he had never met her before, but Sarah seemed to be alright with her, so he behaved.

"Oh yes." Alysia said standing up from Heidi. "You can put him on the stallion side of the barn, and his stall is next to Luke and my horse Skye. If you have a name plate for him, give it to me and I'll screw it on the door." Alysia said.

Skye looked at the stallion, and he was sure he'd never seen this one. He pricked his ears at him and gave a little snort to say hello.

"Thank you! I'll go put him in his stall then. His plate is arriving with the rest of my stuff next monday, so that'll have to wait."

Blue pricked his ears at the sound and looked over to the other horse. He neighed back at him

"That's fine. I'll just get a piece of duck tape, but it on the metal on his stall, and you can right his name on there." Alysia told the girl.

Skye looked back at the horse that neighed to him.

"Sure, thanks" Sarah led Blue into his new stall. There was already fresh bedding and water in, so she closed the door and have her horse a treat. "Looks like a nice home, yeah? Better than our old stable back home"

Blue licked his lips, coated with sweet. He then poked hos head out and looked at the new horses around him. Then, lowered his head when Sarah pet his nose. "It DID seem like a nice place.
