Waltz *Human RP Sign-Up*

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to waltz in the glorious balls of old? Join us in a historical roleplay of the late 1700s. The East India Company is very much a power in India, run and ruled in and by England. Ladies are arranged to be married to prominent men in the Company. Balls are often danced among those wealthy English - both in England and India. Many native Indians serve happily as servants to those English living in India, having good comforts. India is not without tribulations, though. Many men in the Company are power-hungry, and nothing can stop them from getting what they want. Tigers sometimes prowl the lands. War with Burma over borders is seen on the horizon. Crocodiles wait with open jaws in the rivers. Many more dangerous await you - and many wonderful joys.

You are English. You may live in either England or India. Young English women and ladies living in England may be arranged to marry older men in the Company, having to sail to India to meet their soon-to-be husbands. Many are happy and content with this, others are not. Women/ladies can also be already married (to lords in England, men with the Company in India, or other men) or heiresses to many different things. Men can be lords, Company men (whether older and prominent, older and less prominent, or younger with prominence/less prominence), pirates, for-hire sailors, captains for the Company, and the list goes on!

You also have the choice to be Indian (you may only have one Indian character). You may be a child or an adult, a servant or a free man/woman. If you choose to be a servant, you cannot be your own character's servant. You may only be a servant to those who live in India. If you are free, you can be a merchant, a thief (only one or two of these), a mercenary, etc.

I suggest reading the Heart of India series by Linda Chaikin. The series is wonderfully written and gives you an amazing perspective of the time.

Occupation: Captain of a ship/Major in the Company military
Eyes: Dark blue with black specks
Hair: Dark black, often kept to his ears (short for the time). Sometimes he will have a short beard, but not often as he prefers to be clean shaven.
Build: Strong and muscular, but not thick and heavily built.
Other Descriptions: Jace was the son of a now-deceased pirate, and is the adopted son of a colonel in the Company. He resists the military but sometimes, if in need of money or if pursuaded by his adoptive father, he will serve a term in the military.
Personality: A bit hard to read, with a guarded heart, Jace doesn't want to get attached to anyone for fear of losing them. He has a passion for making a tea plantation in Darjeeling, India, and loves his ship. He is also very honest and speaks his mind freely.

Occupation: Belinda is a "silk heiress," living in a luxurious mansion of many rooms. Technically she will not be an heiress of any silk but rather a small fortune (most likely) and possibly ownership of Kendall Hall, the mansion.
Eyes: Jade green
Hair: Belinda is a brunette, her brown hair not light nor dark, but almost right in between. In the sun it seems to lean more towards darker brown. It carries a soft curl.
Build: Slim, though not skinny, and not small. Belinda isn't what you would call petite.
Other Descriptions: None
Personality: Belinda loves to waltz with handsome young men and resists her family's decision to marry her to an older gentleman by the name of (enter name here xD) who is prominent in the East India Company. In fact, this gentleman is the governor-general of the Company, making him "boss" of it all! This only makes Belinda resist her family's decision more. She is strong-willed.

Personality: Obedient and sweet, Jay is just the kind of boy you'd want to serve you. With a heart to please and a wide smile, and with innocence many have never seen, Jay is hard not to love.

Personality: Loves to play hard-to-get, and likes to keep his history to himself. He likes to flirt with girls, and is a show-off with his strength. He is cheerful, and can easily brighten up anyone's day. He does get drunk often, though.

Personality: Lassie is the strong and silent type, who only talks to friends and family. She is very polite and sweet, and is optimistic. She'd rather read than play outside, and find none of the children in her class at school mature or interesting.

I know little of the 1700's, but I love history and this is one of my favourite era's. Though, even with my lack of knowledge, I'll give it a go as it seems like fun. Though if anything is wrong then please tell me. XD

Name: Chastity Glanville
Age: 18 years old
Nationality: English
Resident of England
Occupation: Her father is well known for being a Bank Owner. With this comes money, so Chasity is very well off, with a large house and much land. She would go as far as being a Lady with a lot of wealth.
Eyes: Vibrant Green
Hair: Bright red hair, that is lush with slight curls, when out, it reaches the middle of her back.
Build: She is quite curvy, though not fat. Has a rounded face shape and soft features with a pale complexion. She is around 5'4 in height and 58 kilo's in weight.
Other Descriptions: She has slight freckles on her cheeks and nose.
Personality: She is quite reserved, and very obedient. Listening to her father and now that she is of age, the discussion of marriage is more between parents and her betrothed then her at all. Though she is intelligent and optimistic on many situations, including the marriages. She is sweet, and gentle, though is often misunderstood and not listened too. She can be shy and quite, and be run over like a door mat in those of higher status.

Build: He is quite tall, same pale complexion and soft features, Though he is more lean then curvy with the height of 6.1 and weight of 69 kilo's.
Other Descriptions: He too has freckles on his cheeks and nose, though they are less visible.
Personality: He is smart, and opinated, almost impatient to take over the Bank his father owns. Though he still wants to explore other options, so it leaves him at a stand still in life. But he is a quick thinker, so believes he will soon decide his true life's plan, and being a Banker is almost top of the list.

~ Someone needs to play the governor-general of the East India Company (the "boss"). He will be the planned husband of Belinda Kendall. This does not guarantee that they will be married but they most likely will be.

Other Updates:
I will open this once we get someone to play the governor-general. I'll give you an exception and you won't have to make a female (unless you want to). Then we'll start. Your character can interact with other people played by no one.
