Hey, Feather is the............

Catcher for my Intramural Softball team!!! The team captain told me to go to the Outfield, but when she realized she had no one to throw too behind home plate, told me to be the catcher. *shrugs with a smile* I was like, "But I've never done that before!" She smiled and yelled, "You'll do great." I guess I did, at least, that's what my, and the other team said to me. :)

We finally were able to play tonight, past 2 weeks, we were rained out. We were supposed to play a double header, but the team we were going to play at 9 pm, forfeited because they claimed it was, "Too cold!!!" Bah, it was only 53 degrees, with a little wind. Barely anything, but that put us 1-0 (I think), and then we played the other team a little sooner instead of at 10 pm. Sadly, they beat us 21-0, but we did get some pretty plays, and saw some nice catches; besides me catching a pop ball right at home plate! :D

I have NEVER played Softball in my life and I was told that I was pretty good.

At the end of the game, we tried to rally, which I led off, hit the first pitch I saw, and got a nice single. The short stop dropped the ball, managed to throw it to 1B, but I beat out the throw. They didn't expect me to be so fast, I heard the pitcher say that in shock. One of the girls struck out, but then another girl got a nice hit, advanced me to 2B, which was 2 on with 1 out. Then, another girl got a good hit, loaded the bases, with only 1 out! Another girl got struck out, but we still were loaded, and you could've cut that tension with a knife. The last girl hit back to the pitcher, but threw it to 1B instead of trying to grab me at home plate. She told me after the game that it was because she either would've messed up or that I would've beaten the ball home. The game ended by the fielder's choice, but we had a great time!!!! Three of the TTU softball players came to cheer my team on, which is an advantage of knowing the entire Baseball, and Softball teams. :3 The baseball team would've come, but they had already left to head out to EIU for their weekend series.
