Racing QHs

#271834 Posted on 2024-01-21 01:48:16

Hey hey,

I got a little curious to see if anyone else was really breeding/selling racing quarter horses and based off of my search, it seems not :( I normally only do western quarter horses but I had started this line with @goat awhile back & haven’t seen her in quite sometime soooo would anybody be interested in continuing that with me or is it time to hang up the speedy stock?

Furthermore, I do dabble in Andy’s, Gypsy’s, chincs, & trakehners (although I’d have to do some unlocking & see where I’m at) if anybody wanted to pair up for some nice quality stock elsewhere? :)

Hi there!

I also have gypsy's, chincs and trakes. I'm willing to pair up with them and as far as racing QHs, I would just need to make room and I may be able to start breeding them with you :)

Awesome! I love to hear it c:

I’m thinking let’s start small since I have SO many horses already, maybe gypsies & Andy’s? Or one or the other? Message me which ponies you were trying to pair as far as those breeds & let’s come up with a plan! Also, keep me posted on the possibility of those racing qh’s. If pulls are needed I can help!

Hi!

I think it would be fun to start a breeding project with other players. I can make space for the racing QHs next week when I have pulls.

I am definitely interested in working with others on racing QHs!

I would be breeding for and looking for
breed out all poors in confo
57 or less non specialty stats
no paint markings
improve racing confo stats

Feel free to message me if you would have any similar goals and want to work together :)

I think this would be fun! I haven't played in a while and I am too lazy to go through my already massive stock. But I would be interested in getting a small herd of racing QHs.
What are specifics that everyone is looking for in color and conformation? I would likely get foundation horses to start vs buying or switch disciplines. It's been while since I've done a foundation breeding program.

@Siconita - Awesome! Let me know when you’re ready (:

@Olympea - I am happy with all of those goals, however, I am a sucker for colors so I would want to keep that on my end here & there.

@Allie - I’m with Olympia on no poors in confo, I am okay with all color aside from gray, & always as low as I can get on nss.

If we all want to decide how many pulls we want to do, reply here & let’s work something out! Im excited I didn’t think this many of you would want to this c:

I've got a group of 24 foundations to start with. If anyone needs pulls after they reset Monday let me know :)

Cool! I like the idea of higher conformation. My western stock is decently high. I know it's hard to get foundations with higher conformation. I like any color but like to have variety, and nss is good with me too.
What are the base low conformation? 60?
What nss total do we not want to go above to start?
Should I get my order for horses in now before the first of the month just incase I need more? lol

@Allie -

So I’m thinking for base confo, I try to stay at 60, if I can’t get that, then no more than 2-3 poors & no lower than 55.

For NSS, shoot for the stars girl c: I try to get this as low as I possibly can & stay at 60 or under. I’d say for a strong start, let’s try not to go above 70 nss that way we can pair up where needed & pull those numbers down!

As far as how many you want to start with on pulls, Spooks and I are going to start with 8. Are we all agreed on that? Or should we pull more?

Perfect! Those were my thoughts but I wanted to make sure I was inline with everyone. I did get a nice 61 con stud. I started at age 2 because I was impatient lol. I did 12 but more than half are below 55 con. I will probably go in and get some more and see if I can get over the 55 con with no more than 2-3 poor.
