Cubing Technique and NSS

I don't know a lot about the cubing tehcnique. I know it's about giving horses peppermints, hay cubes or sugar cubes to increase their overall stats and at a certain age convert their discipline to have all the stats on that one discipline. My question is: when you convert horses the NSS are the ones that the horse was born with?

yep, it moves all gained stats toward their new discipline, getting down to the base NSS :) 

You just need to be sure you select the wrong discipline the first time. So if you have a horse you want to end up in driving have them specialize in dressage while doing the cubing, so when you then do convert to driving, all stats that were gained during that time will move into the correct stat categories. Base stats do not change.
