Bucky if you don't stop biting your nails I'm going to put sock mittens on your hands and duct tape them on. Kai? :]

Stress does that to ya. I'd rather bite the crap out of my nails than stress eat.

Nails contain so many empty calories though. Very fattening.

It does take a few times to get the hang of actually how thick of a layer to put on to make it look good, but once you do it turns out awesome. |D

Did you use thin layers or thicker layers?

One thin-ish layer for the base, which is the one you let dry, then a medium-thick (not super heavy cause it'll just ooze all over) layer for the top. That's the one you use the magnet on. The kind I got had instructions on the bottle so I did as those said and it turned out right. c:

You're welcome. And I believe it's 10 seconds that you hold the magnet over the nail for, putting the little 'rest' thing on your finger near the cuticle.

I hardly get my nails done anymore unless I'm just getting color... and then I just do it myself cause I have a good collection.

I have NEVER been able to find a place that does legitimate gel nails. They just do acrylic and then use a gel topcoat... like... no. NO. Can you NOT? This is why people trying to be nail gurus on YouTube actually think gel comes in powder form... which is impossible because GEL!

I also don't get acrylics anymore because people are horrible. My last experience was my last. Lady was filing down the acrylic with the electric file and sliced my thumb clean open. Blotted up all the blood with a paper towel and nail glued the skin together D:

Oh good lord Vos D: Im sorry you had such a terrible experience!

It irks me, seeing those youtube "gurus". There is a massive difference between sculpting gels and gel polishes. You're right, laying gel polish/top coat over acrylic nails is NOT a gel nail. Gel nail extensions HAVE to be sculpted. Period. You can sculpt with acrylics, sure, but usually it's just polymers laid over a tip, not much sculpting besides smoothing out the hardened acrylics.
