Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Areli stopped short of going through the bushes to the door, for she sensed that he was hiding, and waiting for her. So she turned around, sat down facing the Savanna through the bushes and trees, and proceeded to groom her fur back into its softness from her swim.

It didn't take long for Sengo to tire of waiting, decided to go for a walk, going out through the opposite end of the den. He pranced into the forest, watching the sun go down as he sat on a stump. Painful memories flashed through his mind, memories of being beaten constantly by Dollu's parents and finding out they had used him. He had been so angry for years, though he kept it in his heart, scared to show how bitter he felt. He despised her parents for all they did to him, never forgiving them. And only now he had slowly begun forgiving them for what they did.

Areli decided to go find Sengo and trotted off. "Sengo? Where are you babe?" Happily trotting along, when she heard a sound, shut up, got down low, growled, for it wasn't a good feeling she had. She got ready to defend herself, which was a good thing, for a rogue pounced onto her, she roared, slapped the male's face, as he was trying to force himself on her, she struggled, and screamed, "SENGO!!!!!!!!" Just before he slapped his paw over her mouth and pinned her down firmly; while forcing himself on her.

Sengo heard Areli's scream and ran to her, faster than his paws would allow. "GET OFF OF HER!!!!!!!!!" he roared loud and strongly, his roar shaking the ground slightly as he jumped on the rouge, rolling him off of Areli along with himself. He slashed at the rouge, roaring in his face angrily as he continued to slash him with his sharp claws. Angry surged through his veins, his muscles seeming to pop everywhere as he attacked her. "HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY MATE!!" he roared, not even paying attention that he called Areli his mate.

(He's more than angry....)

"Oh!!!!! You sir, are disgusting!!!!!" Areli snarled, feeling horrible, dirty, and downright offended. However, she couldn't help but grin with pleasure at seeing Sengo beat the rogue up, and grinned even bigger when he said, "My Mate." She liked being called that once more and sat down to wait for the outcome of the fight.

The rogue had no chance against Sengo's fury, tried to get away, but found it practically impossible. He slashed at his eyes, managed to get himself some wiggle room, and bolted for the Nomad's Land.

Sengo let out one more roar before the rouge went to far "I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU TRY AGAIN!!" Though after this it'd be highly unlikely that he'd let Areli out of his sight, he would stick to her like glue. His chest pounded as he watched the rouge scurry off, his fur standing up, teeth gritted and mane fluffed out. Sengo turned to Areli, practically running to her and grabbing her into his big arms, holding her tightly against his chest. "I'm so sorry my love, I should have been there for you." he whispered, rubbing his face gently against her's.

"It's alright. But, you need not worry about me. I just checked myself after I finished with Alina. Apparently, I am pregnant with your babies." She grinned at him and purred. "Now, off to take a bath. I feel terrible."

(Getting off for the night. Going to watch Enchanted with my mom).

Sengo wasn't really shocked, since they had been together. "Our babies." he sweetly corrected, reluctantly letting her out of his grasp. He helped her up, standing right beside her during every move she made. "After your bath there is something we need to talk about." he spoke softly, nuzzling her cheek and whispering a request "Please don't leave me again, I don't want you getting hurt.."

"Of course. Come swimming with me." Areli smiled with happiness at his protectiveness and figured that he would let up after a few weeks.

"At the fountain near your den?" he suggested, purring softly as he rubbed against her face. Sengo asked her quietly "Are you sure you're alright?" He was deeply concerned for his, lover.

"Perfectly fine, once I get myself cleaned up. I don't feel like disturbing my Queen at the moment, so the fountain by our den sounds delicious." Areli purred, trotting over, and enjoying the cold water on her entire body as she stretched.

Sengo smiled, watching her enter into the pool of the flowing blue entity called water. He eased slowly into the water, only allowing himself to be partially in the water in case of an attack. His body stiffened, ready for battle at the sight of any rouge. "Areli, besides Alina, did you have any other cubs?" he asked carefully.

Areli froze, beginning to tremble, walked out, and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I can't tell Alina this, but to you, I will. I had two other cubs born with Alina. One was a stillborn, another girl, I called her Aja. The little male, Kito. He and Alina were cuddled against my chest after they finished nursing, I too started to fall asleep, but Daddy nuzzled me, and smiled. I said to him, '"Aren't your grandcubs beautiful?"' He nodded, a strange look on his face. He left me to rest, but when I woke up in the morning, Kito and Alina were gone. I was so upset, searched frantically for them, but Daddy came back in right then, and told me, '"They are gone. I took them away. You are far to young to raise cubs and I am far to old to raise them."' I stared at him in horror but he wouldn't tell me what happened to my cubs. After that, I threw myself into my studies to become a healer, trying to bury my pain, and nobody ever knew that I had cubs in the pride. After Daddy died, Kunar took me in as his own daughter, I helped him, and Toki with their litter, our beloved Queen Kacy, and continued to learn as much as I could." Areli sighed, shook the water out of her fur, and looked at him. "That is my story."

"I am sorry you had to go through so much pain in your younger years, but I promise to make your older ones, golden." he whispered, moving over to her and standing in front of her. Sengo straightened himself, looking at her in every way a serious manner, except for the soft smile on his face. "I know you wanted to wait a week before we made any decisions but.." he sighed, looking down at the water and walking a little around her, pacing slightly. "Ever since I saw that...that dirt, taking advantage of you, similar to how I had been mistreated, I knew that I couldn't bear the thought of someone doing that to you again. And that I wanted to protect you, to hold you in my paws and keep you safe from all harm. I love you Areli, I love you so much you could never understand. You're the light to my darkness. And for all those reasons, that is why I'm asking you to be my mate."

"Of course. When you came to my rescue, I knew that it was meant to be. But nowadays, I wonder whatever happened to Kito. I mean Alina survived, so where is he?" Areli wondered out loud, thinking deeply.

Meanwhile, somewhere beyond Mohatu's Desert, a pale tan male, almost white, hesitated before heading up the forbidden pass. He felt something drawing him to go up, but wasn't sure. He needed to know who he was, who his parents were, where he came from, and most importantly; why did he feel so drawn to go up this forbidden pass? His mate, a gorgeous lioness named Aziza, for she was indeed gorgeous with her golden tan pelt, and bright green eyes. She purred against her mate, her belly heavy with cubs, and said, "Well? Are we going to start our journey to where your instincts are leading you or not Kito?" Kito smiled at her and nodded, "Of course, it's just that, your parents always told us to never go near the forbidden pass. I am not sure, but I need to find out where I come from. If I indeed come from the land above the pass, I am from a magical land." He took a deep breath and began his assent; Aziza right beside him every step of the way.
