Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Alina laughed, looking at him as he nuzzled her face while giggling. She rolled her eyes, a grin on her face as she licked his muzzle, rubbing her nose against his. "You silly lion." she giggled, licking his face lovingly. She felt his heart beating against her's, everything else but them, seemed to be nonexistent.

Star nuzzled her and carried her back to the den. "Would you like to have some alone intimate time again?" He asked with a smile.

"I think I should go check on my mother..." she whispered, looking up at him as he carried her. She really did want to talk to her mother, she wasn't just making up an excuse. Alina had been feeling nauseous lately, but it didn't mean she was already pregnant.

Star nodded, sensing her not feeling well. He readjusted her, and glided over to her mother's home. He set her down on her paws and let Alina lean on him. Star raised a paw and knocked.

Alina could smell that Areli was not home, but someone was there. Sengo answered the door, looking down at Alina and suspecting she might be pregnant. But then he shook his head, they had only been mates for 2 days. He opened the door, backing up so they could come in. "Areli is gone, what is wrong with her?" he asked, pulling out some furs and placing them in the separate room. Alina began feeling worse, moaning slightly as she laid against Star.

"I suppose that could work. I'd better go get him. Stay here and see if you can get that calf; but don't get yourself hurt in the process!" She sighed, putting her baskets down, and racing towards the Great Rock. When she reached it, she began to call for him. "Tarzan!!! Malka and i need you!!!"

Star helped Alina walk inside. He laid her down on the furs and sat next to her. "I think she feels nauseated. She hasn't eaten anything." He told Sengo.

Tarzan exited the main den and walked up to Areli. "Good afternoon." He told her and ducked his head. "What do you need?"

Malka stared at the herd and calf. "Buffalo herd!" He yelled to them. "Where is your chief?" He growled. "If you do not let the Bushbacks get their calf, Tarzan will come, and tear you apart!" Malka hoped that this would cause them to forfeit the baby.

Alina curled up a little on the furs, her nausea growing worse every minute. She had no appetite, neither was she thirsty. Her face winced, feeling strikes of pain in her stomach.

Sengo looked down at Alina, gently putting his paw on her stomach to feel for cubs. He wasn't sure or not if she was pregnant but went to get her some water. "Hurry Areli.." he mumbled to himself.

The herd continued to mill around, refusing to move, when a very angry bull broke out of the herd, being chased by another, and the herd suddenly split in half. The two herds separated and one raced one way; out of the Savanna, while the other herd milled even closer together, away from the calf, and the buffalo leader glared at Malka. "Simple LION. I was fighting that bull I just chased away. He was trying to take over my herd and wanted to kill all the babies, including the bushbuck calf. My herd was protecting it along with my calves, while I dealt with him. Take the calf and get out of here; for Dagger is coming back!!!" Bulldozer charged to meet him, yelling at the top of his lungs, "Close ranks!!! Don't let him through." He snorted, glaring at Dagger, who glared back, both pawed, bellowed, and charged each other with their heads down. Their fight was brutal, menacing, bloody, dangerous, and to the death. The Bushbuck's ran in, grabbed the calf, and ran away with the calf to a safe place about 1/2 mile away from the fighting bulls. "He's hurt really bad. That bull, called Dagger came out of nowhere, and threw my baby high in the air before he landed among Bulldozer's herd. They then closed ranks and wouldn't let us have at him while the two leaders fought. Can you help him???" The mother Bushbuck gasped, licking her baby tenderly, and trying to soothe his pain.

Malka gasped, "Oh, yes," he said, pulling out two voles and a pawful of leaves. "Here," he passed the leave to the mother, "have him eat these, they'll help the pain." Malka began to dab the oil on his cuts. He wrapped the open one on his flank, and the gash on his leg. He then took the lotion and rubbed it on the exposed cuts. "There," Malka finished. "Just don't have him walk on that leg, and steer clear of the buffalo for the time being.

Star laid down with Alina, grooming her head, hoping to sooth her. "It's ok babe."

The momma Bushbuck forced the leaves down his throat, to which he eagerly ate, as he was hungry, and within a few minutes; the pain wasn't as bad and he wanted to go play. But his mom told him to be careful with his leg and he limped over to his friends who nuzzled him. "Thank you Malka!!!!" The Bushbuck's all chirped in thanks and they trotted off.

Areli watched from the Great Rock and smiled. "I just used this as an excuse to give Malka the chance to show me he can be a healer. Thank you for your time Tarzan." She nodded politely to her cousin and trotted away.

Sengo filled up a fur 'bucket' with water, taking it back into the den. He placed it in front of Alina, helping her drink some water. Alina reluctantly drank the water, stopping once she felt another surge of pain.

Areli arrived back at the sight, to find her one of her baskets completely broken, and her bottles busted. She stared at the fighting bulls and growled. "Really? Oh bother." She picked up all the broken pieces, put them back into the one still good basket she had left among the unbroken bottles, and trotted back to her den. She was grumbling under her breath about all her hard work broken, but quit fussing when she saw Alina moaning in pain, with a worried Star, and Sengo caring for her. "What's wrong baby?!" Areli gasped, putting her basket down fast, and racing to her side; her face pale.

Malka blushed. "You're very welcome. Be careful!" He called as he picked up his baskets. He trotted back to where his brother and mentor were standing. "Good job, Malka!" Tarzan congratulated him as he dropped the baskets. "Thank you brother." He smiled. "Do you mind helping me?" Tarzan nodded and took the load, as a reward to his brother. When they reached Areli's den, Tarzan dropped the basket outside. Malka gave him some leaves to help Marrana's milk flow. Malka entered the den and placed some leaves and viles on her shelves.

Star glanced at Sengo as he got Alina some water. "Oh, I'm so worried. I do hope she's ok." He had an idea, "I'll be right back." He flew back to their den and got a bird he had accidentally landed on, and killed. He clutched it in his jaws and flew back to Sengo. "Do you think she'll be able to eat?"

"Mother, can I talk to you...alone?" she asked weakly, looking up at her and then giving a slight nod to Star that it was alright. Sengo left the room, taking the bucket with him to refill it. He walked outside, taking his time to fill up the bucket. Alina looked back up at her mother, a look in her eye that only a mother could understand.
