Ahanu 
"Um, okay. Is there a specific way to hold the reins? Does it hurt them when you kick them?"

Charity
"Nah, it won't hurt them. They're tough little imps, they'll be fine," Charity reassured. "If it was abuse, I'm sure all of America would've been sued by now. And um... I mean... with one hand mostly..." Charity turned around and studied his reins. "Their split, so i guess whatever feels comfortable?"

Ahanu 
"Okay." He figured out the most comfortable way to hold them and did so, one in each hand. "Do I go now, then?"

Charity
Charity shrugged to herself. It worked, she guessed. "Yup."

Ahanu 
He nodded and lightly kicked the gelding. He didn't respond. Ahanu bit his lip and kicked a bit harder. The sudden unfamiliar movement of the horse's walk felt weird and Ahanu gripped the reigns harder.

Charity
Charity sighed. "Stop, stop, stop," she said. "On a scale of one to ten, how nervous do you feel on that horse?"

Ahanu 
He tried to stop the gelding, but somehow just made it back up before he finally stopped it. "Um, 7? I'm not as neevous about the horse, but I feel like I'm going to fall or like I'm controlling him wrong."

Charity
Charity studied the horse for a moment, her eyes clouded with thought. She finally nodded and got off her horse, leading it back and tying it up. She then made sure everything was safe for the horse, then went over to Ahanu and his horse and swung onto the horse behind him. The horse pricked its ears in surprise, but seemed relatively calm about the added weight. Charity wrapped her arms around Ahanu's waist. "Relax about it- if you're soing something wrong, I'll tell you."

Ahanu 
"Y-yeah, okay." Stop blushing. He looked down at the mane of the horse, waiting for further instruction as he pondered whether or not the horse had a name.

Charity
"You can go whenever you want," Charity said, smiling slightly.

Ahanu 
He nodded and nudged the gelding forward. Again, the movement surprised him, and he tensed as if it would help him stay on the horse. Despite not being anywhere near falling off, he felt unsteady. 

Charity
Charity watched Ahanu, her mind starting to race again. This was how Auberon got me to be less scared on a horse... she bit her lip as the memories flooded through her brain, each one stabbing her mercilessly in the heart. "Hey, Ahanu? There's, uh... something I should talk to you about."

Ahanu 
"Okay." Ahanu successfully rode the horse out of the stable and out into the outdoors.

Charity
"Um... I've been thinking about leaving the Fort and going to look for... I dunno, probably other people," she mumbled, her heart sinking a bit with every word. "Just- on my own..." She hadn't entirely meant that- she wouldn't have minded some company, specifically Ahanu's company. But ever since everything started between them, Charity couldn't stop the guilty feeling from overtaking her, and it was just getting worse. She wanted to run away from it, however that looked.

Ahanu 
"Oh." The small word somehow managed to sound... like whatever it was he was feeling at the moment. "I-I really think you should consider talking to Auberon. If you want I can be there so you don't have to be alone with him... I know..." Ahanu paused, concentrating on getting the gelding to turn. "But, uh, yeah, if that's what y-you decide to do... please take the gun?" He winced at the way his voice cracked a bit at the end.
