“Coulda fooled me” she snickered. 

Auberon
Auberon rolled his eyes and let out a laboured sigh. Great timing to be in such pain...

Outlaw 
She wrung water out of the bottom of her shirt with a grumble. 

Parker
He shrugged. "I wouldn't know. But I'm sure they'll be happy you're safe." Parker shifted to a more comfortable position for his back. "But I have the feeling that's not the only thing bothering you." His head inclined slightly as he considered her.

Brooklynn exhaled, resting her head against the wall. "I was the one who was supposed to get that bullet," she said in barely a whisper. "And now... I'm completely unhurt, and everyone else is suffering from multiple serious injuries. I just feel... guilty, I guess. Especially when it comes to your back." She shook her head slightly. It was supposed to be me.

Auberon
"Wait- did I..." Auberon shot his head up, tilting it slightly in thought. "I did!! Gosh I am such an idiot!"

Outlaw 
“Did what?” She muttered, starting to slowly unlace her boots. 

Parker
Parker fiddled with her chains as she spoke, using a small screwdriver he had found in his pen that he didn't know he had. The chains fell off and he caught them before they could clatter to the the floor. "There's no need to feel guilty about being less hurt. That's a good thing. And it probably just means you insult them less." Parker's mouth curved into a lopsided smile, but it dropped as his voice grew serious. "And don't blame yourself for this," he gestured to his back. "If it's anyone's fault, it's Venus'. And if we aren't counting her, it's mine. I willingly took that bullet, okay?" The last sentence was spoken softly, the sincerity in his voice accompanying bright green eyes softened with caring.

Brooklynn nodded, exhaling a little shakily and ignoring a stray tear that tracked down her face. "I've insulted them more than even they realize, actually," She said, a tiny, almost nonexistent grin on her face.

"Oh nothing... I just told them a way to kill me," Auberon muttered.

Outlaw 
After a couple minutes she managed to unlace her boots and slipped them off, dumping water out of them. “If my boots are ruined I’m hacking their money and using their money to buy new ones” she grumbled to herself. “And that’s not very good” she added to Auberon.

"I'd do it even if my boots weren't ruined," he mumbled, crossing his arms and wincing in pain.

Parker
He laughed quietly and simultaneously brushed the tear off her cheek. He took one of her hands in his good one. "Anything else you want to add?" Parker wasn't going to argue with just sitting there if she was done.

Brooke shook her head, closing her eyes for a moment. Enjoy it while it lasts, because that won't be long.
