Personal tag issues

K, so, I am getting really perturbed and confused. Why suddenly does a url working for you and apparently others, but then suddenly, and apparently stop working for seemingly no reason?

It's supposedly happened twice today. Mind you, I am seeing it 100% normal. I alwayys upload at and use flickr. I pretty much refuse to use anything else besides pu.ush (a screen capture program) for the simple reason, I can never even remember they exist until someone mentions them, so that would be counter productive to use other sites, when I know myself, I'd forget I'd have it, and then go riiight back to using flickr.

This seems to be the ONLY thing though that's the issue. THIS particular tag in this particular color.

Anyone in the know with tech and such PLEASE explain why this could be an issue, and possible remedies?

I would contact flickr and see if it is being removed for some reason or an error on your account etc.

But, when I reenter the url it seems to be okay for awhile? That's another head scratcher. I will try to contact flickr about it. I havn't been getting flagged (it's set to private, which typically isn't an issue)

It'd been doing it off an on for me with your current one and the previous one. Maybe use a different host site.

maybe their servers are having issues? That might contribute to the off on and on wuoldn't it? In which case, the issue would eventually solve itself?

It could potentially be a hotlinking issue?

I've just gone through Flickr's ToS (dear lord that's a lot of stuff) and they state that images can only be posted on other websites as long as there is also a link back to that image's Flickr page. Basically this means that every page these images appear on here on Equiverse, there must also be a clickable link back to the Flickr page for that image.

that is so weird. It must be a new ToS thing then :|

Would Deviant art's Stash? and can I make folders/subfolders in the stash?

One post I've read with that information is from 2012, so definitely not new.

hmm, if it's not new, I REALLY don't understand why it's suddenly doing this.

Stash would work & you can make subfolders. It's what I use for my tags & sigs. My character page is one Wix but the url addresses for the tags/sigs are too long for EV so I place what I want to use in Stash.

Or you could just use imgur.

Stash always works for me. It has gone down once or twice and hasn't allowed images to be uploaded, but I've never had issues with images you upload there not displaying etc.

my only concern with stash is the limited storage space.

Also omg, Ruki D: I forgot I could do that. (See what I mean about forgetting about other places to upload?) Lawd have mercy on my poor soul.

It doesn't fill as fast as you'd think - I have tons of things in mine and have only used 0.1GB so far. Just saying.
