How my 2018 has been so far :/

So on the 20th of this month, I lost a furry family member. My kitten, peep, was only a couple of months old when he past. After my extended family left my family and I noticed our boy acting strange. He throw up and was drooling excessively. Then, he began to meow loud and had began freaking out, running around the room hissing and growling as if there was another cat that was attacking him (Our other cat was not in the room). He began to barely move and eventually his legs collapsed under him (his leggings went out to the side literally). He then had multiple seizures and had died. We rushed him to the vet after because all of this happened in less than 30 minutes and we could not catch him. When we got him to the vet they could not do anything. They said the cause was a huge temperature rise that made him delusional and end up seizing which had 'fried' his brain. 

2 days ago my grandma who is in her 80's was rushed to the hospital. She had a heart attack and has pneumonia. She is still in the hospital recovering. 

Then my little sister had a root canal and we had our utilities shut off (they are back on now though). 

Update: my grandma had a stroke while at the hospital and is still in ICU recovering.

The only good news I had this year is I got a chinchilla!

Yikes..poor baby :( Sounds like feline leukemia. My kitten, Luna passed away from it a few years back.

Thank you guys! I hope it does too. I have anxiety so all of this has been making me really stressed :( 

@Stormy- Sadly we don't know what had caused the temperature rise, but he was feline leukemia negative and vaccinated so I don't think that wasn't it. If he wasn't negative amd vaccinated though I would be thinking the same thing. He was also declared 'permanently sick' (he has had a 'cold' since he was a couple of weeks old) it was like he had a permanent cold, so we think it was an underlying problem and he was a rescue (he was basically dead when we first got him). He was also an indoor cat so the only interaction with another cat was with our other one. He was a really healthy (minus his 'permanent cold') and active cat, but fat. It was really sudden.

Wow, I'm so sorry for you! Poor kitten! I'm quite sorry to hear about your grandma, I hope gets well. I guess so much for a 'Happy New Year'. I hope all goes well again, for you, your grandma, and everyone. :c Congrats on the new chinchilla! I love those! Good luck with him/her! ❤

@IO & Ducky - Thank you! He is the cutest ♥ I will post a picture of him later ;) I updated the topic about my grandma. She still isn't doing well and had a stroke at the hospital. :(
