Aww, she’s so cute!! I’ve always wanted Siamese or Tonkinese but we only have outdoor barn cats so I can’t. She’s beautiful though, and those blue eyes!!! :D

To me that coat colouring is much more of a classic Siamese look than for sure a Tonkinese one, but she could be descended from either, seeing as Tonkinese are part Siamese. My mom had Siamese cats in the past and they are extremely talkative, with a slightly guttural voice (not too high pitched), and very involved in everything. It looks like you have an adorable kitty there and her name certainly fits her. c:

@River - yes I did look into what she could be & Siamese crossed my mind too with the coat colour but they didn't have white bits in general so i assumed she must be a cross as did the rescue ctr. Having researched Tonkinese breed she does seem to have the general personality/traits of the breed - noisy & nosy!

Siamese cats are actually born white, and their colour points come in as they age. The lighter parts of their body also darken with being petted, because the oils from people's hands will sink into them. From what I have read Tonkinese do not typically have colour points (or they're not desirable for the breed), at least not anymore. The same talkativeness and inquisitive nature applies to both breeds, so that doesn't exactly pin it down. There are plenty of common factors. One thing that might help is the personality - Siamese tend to be more aloof and more prone to getting hurt feelings and can get pretty damaged if not treated kindly, whereas it seems Tonkinese tend to be bigger cuddle buddies and don't have quite such a sensitive bent. XD

Hmm well so far she seems to be not too diva-ish & she doesn't appear to be too damaged by her spell on the streets so I'd lean more toward the Tonkinese.
