Best way to raise stats?

#131364 Posted on 2017-12-03 14:11:19

How does everyone raise stats on their horses? Majority of mine are store bought so started at the minimum. I treat them everyday and they have on tack. What else can be done?

Schooling 10 hours a day roughly gives 1-6 stats, showing has a chance of giving stats if your horse places within the top 3 of 5 or more entries. You can very rarely get stats from leisure riding and the fountain also.

I set all my foundations to dressage, train, treat with peppermints or hay cubes, then when they turn 17 I convert them to western (thats what i really want them in) then breed them. Most of the time i gain 500-700  stats per foundation.

@Churchill - What is the reasoning to keep them in dressage instead of just setting them in the discipline you want them in? I have seen this a bit throughout the game so was curious to the reasoning behind it.

@maple - How do I put my horses into a riding school? I have honestly not been able to figure out how to do this yet.

@REIGNA

for the riding school all you do is go to "Town" and then "Stable Search".

@REIGNA-
Hay Cubes, peppermints, and sugar cubes (can) give more stats than just normal treats, but those stats are assigned at random. Therefore, Churchill can set their horses to dressage, give them any of those treats, and the horses will get a random stat spread. Once they convert disciplines, all those stats will be reassigned into whatever discipline they converted to. It's a fast way to earn stats, and I use it for foundation Trakehners, but it can get pricey because the first conversion per horse costs 10,000 EVD, and the second time costs 2 credits. :P
Also, hay cubes and sugar cubes are easily accessible and have about 10ish uses per item. You get them sometimes through the Riding School.

I have been getting a lot through riding school as I just started using it. However I am not sure I want to do the conversion thing as it will be pretty costly with the 30+ customs I am focusing on breeding. It just irks me that the customs don't get the 12 stats from the initial training that the regular store horses do. They don't tend to do as well in showing either :(  If I had known I would have saved my money.

I had no idea stats would be reassigned if you changed discipline! So is that what a lot of people do with peppermints/haycubes?

Rose gold - it might be the stat spread of each horse rather than the "customs don't do as well in shows" horses with higher non discipline stats tend to not do as well in shows thanhorses with low non discipline stats
