*Bring back date

On the side bar we now have season and time displayed up the top, which I think is a much better place for it, however it now no longer includes the date. Could we bring this back? I found it was useful as my timezone is significantly different to that of EV, so we often have different dates. This sometimes causes confusion, so I am often checking the date to see whether a statement referencing date refers to today or tomorrow.

If necessary, a short version could work fine, e.g "Jan 1st".

Could also make it so it's style code is in the CSS rather than applied directly in the site code? It's not editable for css edit themes/layouts and makes two of my layouts a bit odd. :P. (div id = season ;) ) Pleasy please?

*edit* I've found a solution to the CSS issue. The following code will change the background colour of the season box (just add it to your style sheet):
#sidebar div.auto:first-child {background: #FF0000 !important;}
