"Locked Mare Foal" almost died?

So one of my mares was locked and had their foal, which I know was already reported as a bug. Some people's foals were born and then unlocked, while mine was still locked. So I just left it. However, I just got a notification saying that it hasn't been fed/watered and is going to die if I didn't care for it. It's also aged, which I didn't realize was happening because all my divisions have been locked for weeks. I've unlocked and re-locked the specific division, but I don't know if other people may run into this as well?
