So, I'm considering using my credits to buy coat applicators to cut out the gray, and bring some color into my Chinco lines. My horses are only 2 years old though, and haven't started to gray yet. If I changed their coat now, would the gray genes remain?

Nope, the gray is taken out. :) The MARKINGS remain, but the gray + the color underneath are taken out. :)
