Foals from a Broodmare

#94921 Posted on 2017-02-24 09:51:22

So my thought here is to make like a notification that a foal that u got from a Broodmare was born.

I had no clue that one of the foals I had was born and was dying!

I just kept getting notifications that the horse was low on food and water

So I was thinking why not make a way that the foals are like transferred to us when they are born so we don't have the possibility of a good horse we paid (good) money for doesn't die without the knowledge of it even being born

Any one who doesn't support please put why ( even those who do I would like to hear if u experienced the same thing ) :}

I think this is already in place.

I've been getting notifications for my foals being born from outside broodmares - they say "A New Foal has been born today. Congratulations! " and link to the New Foal.

When you breed to broodmare, the foal is already in your stud's division. It's just a "ghost" until its gestation of 5 days pass, at which time the foal becomes visible and you get a notification.

Are you, by any chance, on the manual cron opt-in? I am NOT, and have not been having a problem with foal notifications. If you are on the manual cron, there HAS been some discussion on that bug post discussing missing "new foal" notifications.

I do believe Abbey has stated the lack of notifications is a bug, which i have posted on the bug board, i've yet to see if it was fixed (Ducky up there has been getting them though), since ive not used a brood since then

alright yea...I have auto cron...and I'm still having trouble...

I wasn't sure where this went but I thought this would be easier if maybe the foal is automatically transferred to you (me)
