I breed Western Quarter Horses (as that's what I grew up with) and a small side line of Show Jumping Arabians. On my Spare I have Chincotagues, Minis, Clydesdales, rescues, racing arabians, and ...more western QHs. Different project goals though.

I feel your pain, ιlѕa. x.x Lately I keep getting the urge to start new breeds and I think a big part of it is I love the creation process. I know a lot of people start off with a certain set of horses like 16 or 32 or whatever, but I tend to just create them at random and now have a whole hoard of foundations for several different breeds.

I stuck with QHs, Trakes, and Chincos for a long time but have added in Appaloosas and a couple of Mustangs. I started some Andalusians but ended up cutting them out. But all of this Gypsy talk makes me want to unlock the stash I have on my spare account and get those started again. >.>

well, he was certainly a good find, Feathered Gold!

that's a lot of breeding lines, SilverWolves! i don't think i would be able to keep track of them all. cx

haha, same here, PoniesStars.

same, i relate some much, Wicked! i love creating ponies and then naming them and everything. and that sounds crazy and random! i always start off with sixteen and am thinking of, once i pick a foal from my current pair, to buy more ec horses to pair them up with. so that instead of going down to eight dwbs, i stay at sixteen.

i am always really tempted... um, maybe i should start looking for breeding partners? that way, i could another breed without sinking so much money. though, that probably won't work out, since everyone breeds differently and i am kind of picky when it comes to horses and breeding strategies and the such. haha. cx

I forgot, I also have a group of mustangs I plan to breed for conformation. Just a quick project to keep me entertained when I'm waiting on my QHs. Most of my breeds besides my main are locked right now. (not enough time for them all)

well, i finally caved, gave into the temptation.

i just bought twelve gypsy vanners and will buy another four tomorrow. and i am quite happy with my little herd.

since i am quite overwhelmed with the color options, i'll probably stick to breeding for stats and color until i buy some coat randomizers.

does anyone have any suggetions? breeder's tips? they'll most likely be a private line, but i may but some of them for stud once i'm on the second or third generation.
