Converting Specialty to Same Specialty?

Hi!

I am curious. Can one "convert" a horse's specialty to the same specialty?

I know that may sound dumb but here is the thing. I have read about people feeding their foals hay cubes till they are 3 then converting their specialty to spread the stat gains appropriately. However, the crop of foals I wish to test this on already is selected for their current discipline.

I did go to the convert training center and it *does* (??) seem possible. I selected a western specialized horse and did see the option to convert him to western discipline in the drop down menu.

Just would like some yes or no conformation before I mess up my babies.

You cannot convert to a specialty they are already in (tried it). You would have to convert them out then use two credits to convert them back
