Tack Workshop

#86337 Posted on 2017-01-08 12:19:22

So I keep getting notifications of tack under 30% durability.... but I go there and never see said pieces in the repair area. Only pieces that are 90+ durability? I've had one pice break completely due to this already... any ideas?

You have some tack at (or below) 30% durability - don't forget to repair it! 2017-01-08 12:16:30
A piece of tack on your horse, West Facing North [56.75], has broken! You will need to replace it. 2017-01-07 12:56:52 - this item never showed up in the tack workshop so I could fix it

Well first, the reason the piece of tack on West Facing North didn't show up was because it was broken- meaning it got to the point of 0 durability and now you have to replace it like it said. Buy a new one and put it on the horse.

I don't really know how it works, I just repair my tack every other day so it doesn't notify me anyway :p

It broke after I hit the repair all button... that is my issue!

The notification for the broken piece of tack is a day earlier than the one saying you have tack below 30%? My guess is that the piece of tack on that horse actually broke the day before you went to repair it, which is why it wouldn't let you when you tried. So Pistol is right, it just needs to be replaced.

Edit: what discipline was it for? I have a bunch of endurance/racing tack I don't use, so if it's for one of those I can send you a saddle :)

Mostly racing, but it breaks after I repair everything whenever I get the notification. It is really annoying me as I have to constantly replace things that should not be breaking

Broken tack is removed from your inventory. You need to keep repairing it (boost its durability back up to 100%) before it breaks.

I have been Abbey, as soon as i get the warning its getting low on durability i hit the tack workshop to repair everything.
Then when nothing is showing up in there I show a horse... and tack breaks.

The problem I see is that what you've pasted in your main post doesn't really line up:

"A piece of tack on your horse, West Facing North [56.75], has broken! You will need to replace it. 2017-01-07 12:56:52 - this item never showed up in the tack workshop so I could fix it"

occurred a full day before

"You have some tack at (or below) 30% durability - don't forget to repair it! 2017-01-08 12:16:30"

yet you've posted them here in a bug report as though they are related. These can't be the same pieces of tack because tack can't break before it gets to 30% durability.

I can only advise based on the evidence that's presented in front of me, and to me it looks as though you are interpreting notices of tack being broken (where it's removed entirely) as needing to be repaired, but it's not appearing in the repair list and that's because completely broken tack gets deleted.

Is it possible that when you go and repair your tack, you're actually just repairing the durability on the pieces that still exist? As in, Abbey is correct and you're mistaking broken tack notifications for repair ones? So then it would appear that you're repairing all your tack to 100%, but the broken pieces have actually already disappeared.
