Hello everyone!

Hi guys!

I made an account here a long time ago and I just rediscovered it now, so I'm excited to get started. I gather the game has been going through some changes and updates, but I think it looks great. The breed art is the most beautiful and diverse I've seen!

So about me, I'm 26, married, living in Illinois, though I'm from Maine and spent the last couple years in Brazil. I don't have any horses anymore, though I had a Morgan mare as a teenager and a couple QH geldings who have now all sadly passed. I hope that once I save some money I will be able to start taking lessons and maybe lease a horse next year. I've played lots of sim games and and off throughout the years, and lately I've been sad to see a lot of them be abandoned or close. So its nice to see such an active community here.

I've been steadily figuring out the game. I'm wondering how important conformation is? Its something I look for but it doesn't seem to have any direct impact in the game, am I right? And both conformation and stats appear to be inherited. If anyone has some breeding/training/showing strategies to share that would be great! Also, what is the best way to earn money as a new player? Unfortunately I don't have any art skills so I rely on in-game sources.

I'm still trying to decide what breed/s to focus on here. All the art is so pretty! I really like Andalusians and Morgans. The art for DWBs, Lipizanners, and TWHs is also awesome. TWHs are a breed I never go for but the art is gorgeous! The Chicoteagues and Welsh Ponies are super cute too.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hi! I breed Chincoteagues and Miniature horses, I'm into ponies, if you couldn't tell by my name. :)

Welcome to the game :) Some half decent ways to make money other than showing your horse or riding school would be to play games. Play them everyday and you'll make a decent amount of money. Of course make sure you go to the fountain daily. Feel free to message me if you'd like if you have questions, or if you just want to say high! Not an expert where breeding & raising amazing lines are concerned though so probably not the best to ask for those questions! :P

Hey there :)
I breed vanners bc I love their feathering, but I agree with you, the horse are here is amazing :D
Just a tip, Horses w/ lower non specialty stats will do much better in shows.
Feel free to PM me with questions c:

Welcome back to the game :D I currently live in Maine, up near Canada. Which part of the state were you from?

Conformation isn't my strong suit so I'll leave that for someone else to answer.

As for good breeding line stuff, I always wait until the last possible day to breed my ponies, that way the most stats are passed onto the next generation. It's also fun, for me anyways, to set goals and guidelines for my personal lines. For instance I try to keep clean lines which means no inbreeding and no deceased in the pedigrees. I have no real problem with these things, but I love the challenge of it :D

Good money making tips is the daily use of the fountain, put all your money in the bank each night so you can get the most daily interest possible, and (from what I hear) playing the games.

Thanks everyone!

That's cool! I'm from the Midcoast area. I lived in Portland for a little while after graduating from UMO. I miss Maine a lot, especially around the holidays. Illinois is just so... flat. And there's so much corn.

Yeah I lived in North Dakota for awhile so I know what you mean by flat XD Up here the crop seems to be an even split of potatoes and broccoli XD My grandparents used to live down Augusta way and we used to drive to Portland every so often. :)
