#74452 Posted on 2016-11-04 11:04:03 River's 2016 Advent Calendar Welcome to River's Advent Calendar, this year's edition of the fun winter event I began last year, now on its second year! Not only was this a fantastic event in 2015, but it also proved to be (and is) a nice way for me to give back to the fantastic community here! I love this time of year and spreading the Christmas spirit around, so this is my ultimate way to do that here on EV. :) All gift items are supplied by me, and this year I have upped both my ideas and my artistic abilities, so this season's Advent Calendar promises to be even more exciting than last year's! The estimated value of the gifts contained within the 25-day calendar is $3.05million EVD, so this is not only a fun event but a very valuable one as well! How it works So here's the deal: During the 1st through 25th of December, for every one of the 25 days the winners will receive the contents of the given stocking for that day. Each recipient of a slot (whether won through the raffle or the auction) will receive full access to the calendar, which means 25 full days of gifts! These presents could consist of everything from horse items like treats or tack, to free stud coverings, to game currency including EVD and EVC, and to art items such as custom tag or sig recolours! You will never know which item you will receive on a given day, so your winnings for each day will be a complete surprise! Only I alone know which items are included and which will fall on which day, so anything is possible! Please Note Because of the nature of items involved, entry in this giveaway is highly encouraged for persons who actively engage in horse ownership/breeding on the game, and discouraged for members who do not actively raise or own horses. This Advent Calendar is aimed in part at making your game experience even more enjoyable, so it is important to me, as its host, that you play (even if it's just casually). Members who both engage in the art community and actively breed horses will receive the most benefit from this event, as both Equiverse items and art creations are an integral part of the Advent Calendar. The Calendar What does each tiny stocking contain? Only winners will get to find out! Who knows what wonders are held within! c: Entry Right now you may be wondering why this is on the member contests board. Well, that is because of the nature of the entry. There will be four (4) possible slots for winners, but in order to make this Advent Calendar available for everyone's enjoyment, those slots will be split into two different entry methods. Raffle - 2 Slots The first method is a raffle for the two of the slots, which shall take place effective immediately. Anyone may compete in the raffle, but no individual may submit their name more than once (regardless of number of accounts owned). When you enter into the raffle, please complete the google form I have provided and linked below. The information it requests will help ensure that the Advent Calendar experience you have - should you be a raffle slot winner - will be tailored properly for you. You may confirm your entry and completion of the form by posting on this topic if you wish. You might also consider offering a small donation if you desire, but it is by no means required. The raffle will begin on November 4th and end on November 18th at 12:00am EV server time. During the day on the 18th, two members who completed the entry form will be selected as winners using a list randomizer on random.org, after which their names and status as raffle slot winners will be announced publicly on this post. Member who win may not participate in the following auction. The raffle section has closed. The two lucky winners of the raffle slots, as chosen by the list randomizer at random.org are `hierophant (#34704) and Vedette (#38098)! Congratulations you two! When we hit December first you shall begin to receive your gifts! :D Auction - 2 Slots The second method is an auction for the second two slots, which shall be held after the raffle has been closed and the two raffle winners selected via a list randomizer. This auction will in part fund purchase of some of the items in the giveaway, and will provide a fun competitive outlet for members to jostle one another to gain the lead and take the slot they may have missed out on in the raffle. Individuals who competed in the raffle and did not win may feel free to compete in the auction. The auction will begin on November 18th (after raffle winners have been announced) and end after ten (10) days at 12:00am on November 29th (EV server time). November 28th shall be the last entry day. The members with the highest bids on each slot at closing time shall win the slots, and must send full payment for their slot before 48 hours have passed. If this time elapses without payment, the previous bidder will be given the slot and a similar payment timetable. Payment for auction slots may be a mix of EVD and EVC if desired - EVC will be considered worth 50k EVD regardless of current credit sale prices. The auction has now closed. Please see page two for the first post to submit your bids! Two slots are up for grabs, with an end date of November 28th! Winning bids: Auction slot 1: 1.9 mill by Wish Auction slot 2: 2.5 million by Ryaisy The auction winners are Wish Upon A Dream and Ryaisy! Congratulations! Please send full payment for your slot in under 48 hours, before we hit December 1st! I will contact you both to confirm your auction win and amount, and to request a small amount of information that will help me customize your calendar gifts to you appropriately.
