Stablehands

I think that instead of the auto care tool, stablehands should be added to the game. It would work the same way as boarding a horse at a stable, except it would be optional. You would pay one stablehand for one horse for 7 days. During those days, you wouldn’t have to feed, water, groom or muck out your horse’s stalls. However, you would still have to do young horse training/ training center. If this feature was added it would probably go on the horse’s main page, right after the part that says if the horse is boarded in a stable.

While I agree stablehands could be added to the game, I'd say that it'd be more like 1 hand to 10 -20 horses. In real life a stable hand can feed/water/brush/muck out entire stables if that's all they are doing. While some things take longer, feeding and watering is done at set times and the whole barn/herd gets fed at one go. It's not a feed a horse every 10 minutes type of thing.

Honestly, I think this can be a good idea if we polish it up.

I was thinking another day about how annoying the auto-care tool is. I still have to feed treats manually and click on the auto-care button for every division.

A Stablehand will care for up to 20 horses automatically. No button is required. We can choose which horses to assign to a stablehand. We also can get multiple stablehands if we have a big herd. Paying stablehands can serve as a good money sink. Bonus point if a stablehand can feed treats based on horses' needs or players' preferences. I prefer to treat my horses based on their lowest specialized stats. If Intelligence is lower than Agility, I give that horse a green apple. Vice versa. I know some players prefer to focus on one area. Etc. If we can assign a treating style for each horse and allow their stablehand handles it. It would be awesome as heck.

@Lucia~ Or assign a stablehand to a division and they take care of up to 50 horses, additionally a barn manager to enter horses in shows and possibly alert you which mares are no longer on breeding cooldown, like it'd say "The mares _____, ______, and ______ are ready to be bred again!" with links like with gene testing :3

While I don't see a feature like this hurting the game, especially if it is optional, I also don't know when in life it happened that everyone needs to have everything so automatic. I can auto care several divisions at once, it doesn't take long, and if everything becomes so automatic in this game then what will we even be doing when we log on?

yeah, there's that too. People would spend less and less time actually playing the game and EV would play itself :l

@ Olympea, a game shouldn't be like this. If there's nothing else to do when basic care is being automated, that means this game is lacking proper activities that make a game a game. The automated process is not the problem but the fact that we don't have anything else to do is the problem.

To be frank, I struggle to log in ever since the showing update. There's nothing to do here other than taking care of horses and showing them mindlessly. It's not a game to me. There's no strategic activity involved in taking care of horses and showing them. There's nothing to keep us entertained until the horses are ready to breed.

TBH, I rather have everything automated so I don't have to worry about the game until it's time to breed my horses since that's the only fun part of the game now.

yeah there's that too, I mainly collect money everywhere possible, auto care my horses, throw 'em in a riding school, and that's it for the day.
