Pinto Horse Club

#2676 Posted on 2016-02-15 16:42:17

So I'm exploring the idea of starting a Pinto Horse Club. Mirroring the actual Pinto Horse Association, there would be distinct "types" - Stock (QH or Paint), Hunter (Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods), Pleasure, Saddle (Tennessee Walking Horses), Gypsy, Miniatures, and ponies. Horses would of course be required to have appropriate pinto markings (tobiano, overo, etc). The thought is to give horses with pinto markings another registry beyond their respective breed registries. Any ideas and suggestions to go along with this are more than welcome! I'm just trying to get my proverbial ducks in a row before I drop the $50k :)

A group is separate from a club. Clubs are reserved for breeds only. Groups are for whatever you want. Groups also do not have registries unless you make your own table or document to keep track of all the players' horses.

I might join a PtHA type group, being that some of my TBs have sabino, frame, and splash.

Would be interesting to have a check box during group creation to include a registry. I'm going to find my sheet tedious if my Jockey Club starts blowing up...

Great idea! I'd definitely like to figure out some way to incorporate breed registry with the group itself, whether that be something I've created or eventually an in-game function.

As much as I like this idea, it would be for "far in the future" - I want to see how the breed clubs we actually have work out first :) last time I had clubs on EV they weren't particularly popular haha.
