Add an 'Are you sure' when dyeing tack

#263317 Posted on 2022-12-08 17:43:00

I spent about 20k today, buying, upgrading, and sometimes dying tack for all of my horses, and too many times have I dyed the wrong piece the wrong color. I think there should be an Are You Sure when dyeing, like with breeding and progressing. This would probably be togglable as doing big dyeing jobs would be slowed down tremendously if you don't need this in place.

It would also be nice to have the green/white stripey things like the marketplace, horse search, etc. I find it really hard to focus on individual lines when the background is a monotonous white.

I don't support the are you sure, because it seems like it may not be much of a big deal to just recolor it the right color, unlike major changes with horses and account progression that cannot be reversed.

I do agree that there should be line indicators every other line in the menus. I'm just not sure how that would work in a drop down menu.

I'm not sure how that'd work for a dropdown either :P I don't imagine it'd be too hard...

but that's why the Are You Sure would be toggleable :3 I wasted dye and money, plus time with my mistakes...

@ Deer Creek, dyes aren't that cheap, especially for poorer players. We have an applicator fee and plus the dye themselves cost money. If you accidentally dye the wrong saddle/bridle/blanket, you will have to fix the wrong one and dye the correct one. Therefore, one mistake can easily result in three dyes/applicator fees.

For that reason, I support "Are you Sure". I would also like to include what are you planning to dye, which horse it belongs to, and what color you choose.

Are You Sure?
You are going to dye Russet Dressage Saddle, currently equipped on Horse A, Black.

Something like this.

It would be nice to be able to search for names or something. My list is so long because I have many horses with tacks so it would be nice to be able to search the horse to narrow down the list. It will make it so much easier to find the right saddle/bridle that I want to dye.

I like the search, or even be able to sort by age, breed, name, etc. I wasted almost 2k on dyes and dying fees, not to mention the 30k on upgrading everything.
