Not so great news...

As I always share both of the dogs here, i wanted to be open and honest about Muffin. An with that comes sharing the news that our precious girl was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor on her heart. I got the news yesterday evening and immediately packed to drive home the two hours to see her in case the worst happens this weekend and I don't get to say good bye.Since the vet specialist said it could be any day or a few weeks. I just wanted to be open and honest about her and what she was diagnosed with. After, losing Callie in July and now this with Muffin's, I'm trying to navigate the grief in waves as it comes. I'll share a picture of Muffin here that I took this morning in front of the Christmas tree, and not knowing if she'll make it to Christmas this year, but she's still being her happy, food loving self and the whole family is cherishing our time with her.

That's terrible :( I know her final days, however long that may be, will be wonderful with you♥

aww what a sweet girl you have... i'm sorry you're going through this again ♥ please take all the time you need, i'm sure Muffin will love hanging out with you ♥ and take care of yourself as well *hugs*

Daph that is terrible news, I'm so sorry this has happened to you and your family and so close to the holiday season too. I don't have much to say, as I don't think words alone will be able to describe what you are going through. I'm just very very sorry, and my thoughts are with you at this horrible time. Just treasure every moment you can with her, enjoy what time you have left, and don't forget to look after yourself (like bubbles have said). hugs xx  

Laureal- thank you so much, apparently the update today is she's being her usual happy self and all prancy. So that helped me somewhat getting that text this morning.

I'm so sorry about poor Muffin :( I love her crazy butt, and I hope she can be happy, comfortable, and as spoiled as possible for the rest of the time she has left ♥ 

it's good to hear she's still very happy ♥ i hope she doesn't start to feel bad or have any sort of pain, and that you reach her safely ♥

I'm so sorry to hear about that Daph. I know how much pet's mean and it hurts to know when they get sick. Muffin knows she's loved and she will spend her time with her favorite people. You know my dms are always open to ya. ♥

So very sorry to hear this.  You can tell what a great life you have given her just by how happy she looks ♥

Thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers with Muffin. She’s still being her fluff butt self and wagging, prancing even at times around the house. The biggest part is keeping her separated from Riley to not get her too excited. We found out today the inoperable tumor is in fact a Hemangiosarcoma which is a very aggressive form of cancer so we are all still taking it one day at a time to process it. I go back to College tomorrow for finals so that’s mean a week away from her but, I know she’s in good hands at home with the rest of my family. It just makes my brain all scattered and all more emotions going through me with this. So thank you for being there for me and loving miss Muffin as much as I do.

Aw. Well muffin will be in good hands and I do hope she fights through it so you can see her again before her “day”. You’ve been such a good dog mama and she knows it
