What do you love?

So, we have said a lot about things we don't like about the game or would like to see improved. But! I would love to hear what you love about EV; what keeps you here. Because maybe we can find ways to build those things further?

i'm very attached to my horses, i've worked hard on them and love taking care of them every day! ♥ i like looking back at all my lines and previous horses, seeing how far my lines have come. overall i like the art for horses, ever since the silver rework i've been obsessed with silver horses o.o

i love breeding horses and seeing what i get, i tend to be happy with lots of the possible colors and patterns but when i manage to breed my dream foal it feels great! i like planning things out and pairing horses together, whether it's my own homebred horses or horses i bought from someone else i love putting my little herds and pairs together and watching how things go.

i know it has plenty of debate, i'm not saying it's perfect but i do get enjoyment from showing. i like studying the field and deciding which horse goes where, it's kind of a daily puzzle for me. it feels satisfying to have all my horses set up in their shows or school for the day, like i just solved a crossword or something xD

i think the weekly seasonal changes are nice, it makes EV feel like it's constantly moving forward if that makes sense? and i can look forward to buying my favorite backgrounds and taking care of crops. the annual events are fun to do and the items they bring add more fun and variety. the water balloon and snowball ones are just silly and fun to do.

i also just like how EV looks, the colors are pretty and aside from some nitpicks it's very easy to navigate. i can read the text just fine and the use of different colors from the normal palette for notifications is pretty well done imo. (i am for the idea of custom palettes though since this is very subjective, my favorite color is green loll) it feels very cozy to just navigate my way around the site. the icons for items are cute, the artwork for buttons and pages is as well ♥

I love the foundation we have already. There are not a lot of active horse games out there. I hate turn-based games so it cut down the number of games. EV is not a turn-based game, so it's a huge bonus point. The game foundation's pace is reasonable as well. I like that it takes a week for the horse to age up to a year and I felt that it's a good amount of time. Yes, I am aware that the stats pace is too fast since we reached the international level pretty fast as we already discussed on another thread. However, I felt that we already have a good foundation of overall pace so we just need to figure out the stats situation.

We also have a good foundation for training as well, IMO. I think we just need to tweak it a bit and perfected it depending on the new showing/breeding system. I like the training because it's simple and doesn't require heavy planning like some of the games.

Divisions, Locking Feature, and Game Progress! Those tools are extremely helpful! I love to organize my herd into multiple divisions. It's very easy to do so as well. I know a game that has divisions too but they make it so confusing and complicated to move horses around. I also love that we can lock divisions, I don't see many games that allow that. Most games will only allow locking the entire account but not individual divisions. It's extremely useful since I can lock horses that I am not ready to play with. Game Progress also is extremely useful. I have Wifi issues recently and couldn't log in for weeks I didn't have to worry because I know that nothing will happen to my account. My other game, tho? I lost my entire herd, RIP.

The artwork. I like good artwork and EV has one of the best adult artworks out of all the horse games I've been to. The style is quite constant as well. Sure, there are some colors/markings that are missing such as leopards in Vanners. But, honestly, I rather deal with missing markings/colors over a game with cartoony artwork that nearly blinded me due to very bright highlights. Yes, I still want my Drum Horse or any Draft Breeds but I am willing to wait as I also rather deal with constant artwork over a game with a bunch of artwork that differs in style from different artists.

I like that I am able to survive by myself. Yes, the private breeders are bad for the economy. But, I like that we aren't being forced to work with others like in some games. It's frustrating when a game is designed that way because they don't consider that players with special interests are screwed basically. I am breeding Dressage Clydesdale so that's a "special" interest because Clydedale's popular discipline is Driving so any other discipline isn't common. It's frustrating that I can't breed cross-discipline, tho. That's one of the reasons why I am a private breeder since I want to specifically work with Dressage Clydesdale. If I can cross-discipline, then I am more willing to go public since it will be easier to buy/sell/breed even when I have a special interest herd to work with. Nonetheless, I am grateful that EV allows me to be able to breed for Dressage Clydesdale without any worry even if it's not a popular combination. In some games, they don't even allow you to choose unpopular discipline.

I love EV as a whole ♥ Very well organized, I can find what I need really easily, and it's just overall great :D And Lucia, I would love to join you in the Dressage Clydesaled, but I only have 2 at the moment who are racing and driving :') and there are only 2 Dressage Clyde's for sale, but for 20k. If you wanna buy 'em, here's a link ♥
