slowly getting back into the game. I am curious how pricing works here and the economy. I am only going to be keeping patterned Paints with 90+ starts for fillies and probably 94+ patterned colts. What would 85+ confo paints run?

Hi there! It really depends on the players and what they're looking for at the time. I'm not personally very heavy in paints (I just bought some random ones with dun to compliment my QHs) so I can't give you a definitive answer but I think there are a few lines of high conformation paints out there so just that factor alone may not fetch very high prices, however a combination off that and some other factors may!

I've sold various breeds with various stats and confo levels. From what I see, horses don't sell well if it's priced over $10,000. If you're okay with waiting for a long time, then you can try going over 10k but if you want to sell within 2~ months, keep your price under 10k. Everyone breeds their horses differently so a horse with low NSS may be worth 5k to one player but 1k for another player. It's all about timing and finding the right buyer. I had a horse sitting on my account since I joined the game and he finally got sold to someone who was inactive for a while. You will need to do a lot of advertising as well. I noticed that horses sell faster if they are up for an open sale instead of a private auction as well.

I disagree, I sell plenty horses for 10k+ quite quickly depending on the breed and nss. Building up a network or having consistent breeding practices help in selling horses, selling horses that can be paired together without inbreeding is another bonus. If they're show quality they're more likely to sell for higher prices, rare pedigrees and low nss (that isn't commonplace like Trakehners for example) will sell for a lot more.
