This event is not working for me....

I wonder what are your experiences with this newest event. Somehow it's not working for me at all... On the first day I got 10 balloons and 2 raindrops but then absolutely nothing yesterday and nothing today. On all three days I did exactly the same: cared for horses, entered some of them in the shows and the rest got enrolled into riding school, they all completed their rides as well. Everything was done by hand so a lot of clicking involved and yet no balloons and no raindrops. I've never been as unlucky with collecting things during events as this time...
Another thing which surprises me is the fact that apparently green team is in the lead (as always it seems) even though all leaderboards are plastered with blue and red colours; there're hardly any any greens displayed; or so it seems to me.

What are your thougths on the subject ?

I haven't experienced that - but I did notice the green team thing. It's been that way since the very start so I'm guessing a little glitch, since in the snowball fight it seems to change frequently what team is in the lead.

I agree I don't really have horses to care for, but I do click around on the forums a lot. And by that I mean a LOT. I haven't gotten any new ballons or raindrops since the first day. I'm on the green team, but I haven't done anything. I'm also confused as to why the green team is in the lead when it should be the blue or red team.

You may notice a lower frequency as you have a lot less horses than some people with the event. You could try going through other players horses or using the random horse/member link in the footer and try getting balloons that way. 

I've not noticed this myself and I've been playing fairly infrequently with about 100ish unlocked horses since the event started. 

I'm just surprised because I always have small amount horses to work with and never before experienced not being able to find anything for two days straight, not even one balloon immediately after logging in. I swear I always used to get something either before progressing or straight after. Never mind, I was just curious if anybody else noticed anything similar...

Have you thrown the 10 that you have found? You won't find anymore if you are holding 10 water balloons (to encourage participation). 

Does going through the forum threads yield balloon finds as well as going through horses/players does? I just clicked through the "Avoid the Mods" thread at 530 pages. I only found 10 balloons (the 10th being on the last page) and 4 raindrops.

Also, does the number of horses we have only count if they're unlocked?
