Meet Our Member's RL Equines

#16331 Posted on 2016-03-07 10:35:30

I've got ten equines so sorry for the mass amount of photos! I will keep it to one per equine!

First up.. the yearling Miniature Horses!

Cupid - Kakos I Spotted Cupid - AMHA/AMHR smoky black appy colt born on Valentines day 2015. He is our future stud prospect. Plans to show him halter, obstacle, driving and jumping.

Spock - THQ Storybook It's Only Logical - Born here at Storybook! 2015 black R registered colt. Will be gelded and kept for a show horse. Plans to do halter, driving, and jumping.

Ella - THQ Storybook I'm No Fairytale - 2015 AMHA/AMHR black tobiano filly. Born here at storybook! Should mature 31-32 inches. Plans to be shown halter, driving, obstacle, jumping.

We also have three mini broodmares:

Lady - Broadway Colors Luck Be A Lady - AMHR black mare 37.5 inches. She was a two time national driving champion in Country Pleasure with several Hall of Fames!

Mercedes - Mercede's Love Potion - AMHA/AMHR Slilver Dapple Tobiano mare 31 inches. She is Ella's mom. :) She showed a lot of pinto before we got her and we're hoping to show her obstacle again. She is the SWEETEST mini and we adore her.

Abby - Abby Go Lightly - AMHR Chestnut Appy Mare 33 inches. We love miss abby.. though she could stand to lose some weight. haha! She showed some before we got her and we're hoping to get her back in shape and show her obstacle this year.

Big Horses:

Lila - Justa Tender Asset - 17 YO APHA Smoky black overo mare. My retired show horse. She was my show horse through my youth and Novice Ammy career. Now we just piddle around and go on trail rides when I'm up for riding. (I had a bad back injury from a green broke horse that prevents me from riding like I used to.) We used to show everything from western to dressage.♥

Lexi - Fancy My Assets - 4 YO APHA Palomino sabino over mare. She is Lila's daughter out of The Ultimate Fancy. She was sadly born the year after my accident so I have not had the ability to break her myself. I like to not start my horses until 3/4 anyway so she will hopefully be going to a trainers soon!

Penny - Carolina Sensation - 9 YO APHA chestnut overo mare. She is my mom's trail horse and probably one of the sweetest horses around!

Lucille Ball - Lucy/loo/looloo/donkey - 5 year old donkey. Possibly the best behaved donkey that still does her job of protecting the minis.

I no longer own these horses, but they were my babies when I had them. They have both moved onto new, loving homes.

This is me and my old lady Quest.

The day we got Quest.

This was the first horse I bought after I turned 18. Her name was Samhain, Sammy for short.

And another pic of Sammy.

This is my rescued horse. My mom and I found him in a field on the side of the highway with his head stuck in a fence. My best guess is the wire broke and the poor boy got tangled up:/

We got him free from the wire and headed out to find his owner. Once we found him, we learned that he'd been trying to get rid of him for months because he didn't have time for him. So, we took him in. This photo was taken 3 months after we got him. We'd just washed him up. Part of his mane was missing from where the wire had rubbed him down to the skin. I got a picture of his best side :)

He's my best friend now. We call him Blaster :D After the oreo blaster :D

This is Merlin, he's one of my camp horses who I occasionally ride. He is the slowest horse I've ever met! I ride him a lot, but not as much as I ride the next horse.

This is Romeo, another one of my camp's horses. He is the clumsiest horse I've ever met xD I'm thinking about leasing him, but I don't know if I'm ready. This was taken at one of my camp's "shows." I don't know what breed either of the horses are, because my camp isn't sure. They lease them from a nearby stable.

Meet Hermes, 8 year old Zangersheide gelding, my baby ♥
He's one heck of a jumper but a bit of a character (hence why it's not me showing him in the first photo!)

Then there's Cool, Hermes' 7 year old, Zangersheide partner in crime. Apart from the ten centimetre size difference, they're very similar.

Of course, there are then the two lovely hacking 'fun' horses:
Sana, now retired endurance arabian; now an awesome dressage schoolmaster and general paddock pony.

And Vigo. He's a bit of a brute, a heavy and traditional welsh cob, but he is honestly the best horse I've ever ridden for a hack. Steady as a rock and wonderfully comfortable. I'd like to campaign him in TREC but I sadly don't have the time when the season's on.

Ahhh, my horse. What an evil little mare xD.
This is Zippits Cup O Java, or "Chloe", she is a completely bay (no markings at all!) quarter horse mare. She has the "Impressive" bloodline in her. (Impressive ;)) Making her a quite stocky halter horse. (But HYP NN!!) She's trained western pleasure, dressage, english pleasure, and much more. She has AMAZING gaits and I got her for a steal of a price!
Here the babe::

As shown on my profile: This was Funball, my beloved Oldenburg mare. Her colours and sabino-spots, she gets from her grandpa, Furioso II, a famous Anglo Norman.
Funball accompanied me for 10 years of my life since she was 3 years old.
Because of my divorce, I had to sell her which I never forgave myself.

She found a loving home with a 12 year old girl .... but still my heart is attached to her.
She is now 33 years old and now looks down from the rainbow country.

I still miss her so much !!!

*sighhhhh* well now that there is another topic like this i just cant help myself, can i?

Anyone (withthe exception of me) in these pictures has been blurred out for privacy reasons :)

Tui (Nitro Symphony)
Tui is my 3yo 15.2hh baby! I started breaking her in late December last year, and she's doing really well so far! She's a bit of a troublemaker, although that has been subdued for the "lazy" 3-4yo attitude, but I know that the filly who jumped out of her 1.20m deer fence paddock is in there somewhere! We're due to compete in our first 90cm comp and I'm hoping that she's going to be my HGP mount :)

Autumn (Nanetos Autumn Glimpse)
Sadly, I don't know much about this girl - we're selling her on behalf, but she's a gorgeous little welsh x app. 11.2hh that we have yet to break in!

Kupe (Nitro Kupe Classic)
Kupe and his twin Mickey (no longer on our property) are our mascots! Related to our first ever PGP mount, Galaxy Goldrush (Rain), Kupe is a rising 3yo 13.2hh homebred.

Cameo (Awatea Cameo)
15.1hh Cameo is..... well, marish is the only word. Stroppy, tough and completely willing to throw you, Cameo is probably one of my favourite rides in our entire riding school - purely for the fact that she may not be the prettiest mount (ugh, appy patterning) or the fastest, but she is completely driven by spite. She absolutely refuses to let anyone beat her.

Teddy (Lowwood Denbeigh)
Little 12hh RP x Welsh 5yo Teddy is easily one of our flashier ponies, with his perfect conformation and bling, but he's so well behaved with our junior riders that you wouldn't even know that he was only recently gelded!

Hosta (Troon Harvest Gold)
Gahhhh, where to start with one of my favourite guys! Little 12.1hh Hosta is just gorgeous - he's our main stud/showing pony and we remain undefeated in showing with Hosta bringing home a whopping 8 ribbons and 2 rosettes from our last outing.

Markis (Nitro Redmoor)
Pictured here with mum Greenwood Satin (Satin), our little man is growing up so fast! Born late last year, (October, but don't quote me on that) he is our hopeful riding school project.

Bonbon (Nitro Dark Magic)
aaaaAAAAAA MY FAVOURITE LITTLE FILLY!!! She came from my all time mare, an app.11.1hh mare named Magic that we rescued, finding out she was infoal later was a great surprise! We were worried that Magic wouldn't make it, but my girl pulled through ;) Magic can't be shown or ridden ever because of the trauma suffered from her last home. Bonbon, however, is rising 2 and I'm so excited for her inhand classes - she's already been to a few and come home with plenty of compliments and ribbons alike.

Piper (Unsure of Show Name)
A 15.2hh andalusion mare that we've taken on breaking in and are selling on behalf - she's only been here a few days and I haven't ridden her yet, but I'm super excited!

Zeus (Shere Zeus)
Zeus is our star eventer for our young riders, at 7yo and app.13hh, our guy will happily take on anything he's pointed at (no seriously.... we have jumped quad bikes and stock fences on this little guy, and he's competed in 1.10-1.20m pony comps) and all the junior riders love him.

Nova (Midnight Nova)
9yo Nova.... I love her, but she is a  p a i n  to jump! It's not that she's in pain or scared or anything, she just doesn't feel like jumping ever - but she's such a pretty jumper!

Oscar
At 16hh, this 5yo can be intimidating (especially when he gallops right up to you), but my boy is too near and dear to my heart to give up on him (an OTTB bred for eventing) he is so bold and trusting that seeing his scared really hurts me :/ but I'm planning on buying him from the people we're leasing him from!

Kylie (Illamrei)
Kylie is constantly so pretty I just can't help myself.... a gorgeous jumper and a sound mover for a 12yo... she's not mareish at all and loves to babysit our foals.

Charlie (Darvel Ulysses)
Our only warmblood..... Charlie's had a couple problems with his right foreleg, and we thought we were going to have to put him down for a bit, but he's made a surprising recovery which I'm happy to hear! He's a bit of a slug though, when it comes to riding.... You literally have to carry him over jumps!

To be honest, our horses come and go so quickly that some of these guys have probably left by the time I've finished this!

So, I am leasing a 20yr old OTTB. This is her Pedigree. She has Seattle Slew in it as her Grandfather!!   She doesn't have the same temperament though :)She is 16.3 hands tall. She is called the fire breathing dragon because she is never happy. She always seems to be mad but not she actually want's to snuggle! I am using her for gaming and she is doing awesome for being as stubborn as me:)

These are the pictures that I have found of when she raced

These are some pictures now.

https://sta.sh/011g71cg0u67

Look at this booty! (She has none but we are working on the :)

As you notice, I wear English pants and western boots. So much comfier than actuall jeans but I have to wear jeans for shows:(

Our first show where she would not stay still!

Unfortuanitly, It will be hard to do any shows for awhile because we have a horse herpes virus going around that kills. It is called EHV-1. It is a neurological forma nd affects mares more often and when it does, it almost always kills. So everyone is staying put. But that's okay! we will practice and wait!
