putting icons of my characters up on my layout

Hello! I normally don't ask for help, but today is one of those days where I just can't seem to figure it out..  I am trying to put up the icons on my layout of some of my characters, but I am not sure how to do that... is there a code or something to use so I can put my characters Icon's up on my layout?  So that when you click on the characters icon it will take you directly to the characters page. how do I do that?

If someone would be willing to lend a hand, I would be forever thankful!
