Quarter Horse Show Association (Q and A)

#202704 Posted on 2019-05-02 16:29:39

Since I've seen some interest in this club, I've went ahead and started getting things together, Unlocking features and investing some money and will soon be opining the door on this brand new club for Quarter Horse Show Breeders! before that happens I wanted to ask a few questions to those Interested.

What to you most want out of a club/ whats the most important feature to you?

My registrations for horses will be a little strict, any opinions on the following?
Foundations                 Lined:
nns| 55 and under            nns| 50 and under

Total Stats| 300+              Total Stats|500+
50 Show placements        50 Show placements
10,000 Show points         10,000 Show points
I wont be taking conformation, color, or height  into account for registration as none of those currently affect showing (this may change if the game does)

Thank you all so much for your interest and feed back in my last forum post about this ^.^
Cheers
-Bel

I do love it all. I see no problem with that being strict, especially if you are really into breeding high quality show horses. And to be honest, the most important to me out of clubs is just being able to meet players with some of the same requirements with their horses as you do, and that really helps out with the breedings.
And I have one question. What will be the requirements for foals? Cause at the moment I have many 2 and below year old foals.

thank you for the feedback!

I am not sure yet about foals, Since this is a Show registry... but that being said I do have some plans for "up and cumming" badges for foals with perks when they meet the show requirements ^.^

A registry of available Studs and Broodmares :)

I think lined requirements should be slightly more strict versus foundie requirements, as you've suggested.

thank you for the input! I think so too, I really want our registration to be "quality over quantity"

@BlueEyedLuv, that is a good way of looking at. Having stricter requirements not only betters the breed but, I would think, helps keep players interested as it gives them something to strive for, end goals that not only meet registration requirements but also should make their horses do better in shows, too.

I like that at the moment, there is n o conformation requirement for foundations, If i can suggest it, please do not make that one 60.00+ for foundations as they are really not that common from the equine center. I found that quite annoying in another club when I did that. When that club did so, it effectively turned me away, as there was no discussion with members about it, and hasnt been to this date.

It can be very difficult to come by high conformation in Foundations, and can be a fun challenge in and of itself. I did consider this. IF the game ever makes conformation shows I may add it in... But as of right now it does not affect show quality... and that is what I want this registry to be Show Quality Quarters.
